I can vouch that the issue still exists. Hella annoying when you're trying to get Mastery and you can't seems to draw that Miracle (or you don't have it).

+1, this one keeps players from getting masteries when they earned them. Until then - shields and miracles.

Complete last combat round before ending game

scenario:
me: 100hp, an empathic bond or 3, a bunch of creatures on the table.
opponent: 2hp

opponent summons creature/weapon/spell that does 10 damage, ends his turn
me: 90hp
I end my turn, the first 2-3 creatures land a hit and heal me through the bond... and the round ends, and i end up with 95-98hp instead of the expected 100.
(note: this issue is old-ish, i don't feel like paying 100g to change my deck back to verify it still exists)

It's not necessarily a bug.  With a shield and a few turns of bond, you can get back to full before you kill the opponent.  You can also use miracle before you end your turn.  Personally I think it's just a fact of like, mastery is as hard as it is, and not as easy as you want to be (although not much easier).

Also, if you have a sundial in hand and a weapon that will kill your opponent (i.e., if he has less health left than the weapon's damage amount), play the sundial. The empathic bond will heal you before the weapon hits.

masteries with EB are too circumstantial :P always depends on opp's dmg and your dmg, and you can rarely time it right unless you have shields (which have to come at the right time :P)

Empathic bond is definitely worth the trouble for mastery when running a large rainboaw deck with FFQ or graveyards.  Yes, there will be times when your creatures kill the opp before charging you all the way back up, but sundials, eternity, etc can help to mitigate this.  I frequently used sundials to delay my win a turn or two and get mastery.  Uzra is right, however.   Mastery is intended to be difficult.

One other idea is to carry miracles as one person suggested, or heals as well.  When I used to run a life/air firefly queen deck for farming AI3 (don't ask me why I thought it was a good idea), I kept heals around to make sure I masteried every time.

FFQ used to be one of the top decks. It was my first- helped by starting as Air and winning a FFQ in one of my first games.

Technically Empathic/Feral bond say "at the end of every round"

Which would mean if it is fixed to match thhe wording- your creatures will attack, quantums generate, weapon hit, then you get life for each creature.

That would definitely reduce the number of EMs.

And as for why i said not everyone who uses this card uses sundial, i also thought it would be implied some people play mono and can't add a sniper or vampire, or anything like that.
