Ladder system suggestion for T50.

Doesn't matter much if the vets farm less for score now since the T50 is constantly being put higher up by new guys. Feels like recently that #50 was at 130k. Now it's at 148k. It's not getting lower, and we need a way to either refresh it or make a separate one. The problem is that the only way of getting there is to farm more than the people who have been playing it longer for you and make up for that time gap. Pretty monotonous.
Then again, some like that, and that's fine. I'm mostly thinking about the newer players and them having a shot at some glory. Again, I think it would help the popularity of the game. If a separate T50 could do that, then fine. I'm just not sure it could.

I support this, as I highly doubt I can reach the Top 50. This'll give me more motivation.

I started playing this game 3 months ago and I already have 145k. And no, I don't play like there's no tomorrow. I have to work and I have a 2-month-old daughter. That effectively prevents me from playing this game too much. So I don't think it's that hard to get to T50. Heck, as of now I'm #40. I'll get kicked out of T50 soon, but it proves everyone with some determination (and time) can reach T50.


But what Higurashi suggests would be a nice addition to this game. It would motivate people who are new to this game if there's some kind of weekly T50.

I and some others have had some competitions who could kill level 3 the most in a week as it shows on Kong. Well, not really the same thing this thread suggests, but it shows how much we've wasted our life on this game in a week. =)

It took me 2 months to get into the top 50, and now I'm comfortably in about 3.5 months in with 233K score.  It can be done if you really want to. 

Getting in the t50 is a function of 2 factors: 1.) Ammount of time/games played and 2.) Score gained per game.

To get in the t50 quick you will need to play tons of games against AI3 using a fast or EM'ing deck.  If you want in the t50, farming fg's is a terrible idea, as score goes up more slowly (if at all) there.

Yeah... again, this thread would be for expressing your opinion on the idea. We all know how "easy" it is for people with stunning amounts of time to get into T50, but is there any point? Does the game or community benefit from it? No, it's just like a second job. Again, not saying there's anything wrong with that. We simply could expand it; make it more than that. No e-peen waving, please.

The game kinda benefits from it. I mean, the more time you spend on this game, the more concurrent users they have. And it's one way to tell a game's popularity.

I didn't mean any e-peen waving. I merely replied sSethia who said he doubted he'd ever be in T50 with a fact that it's not that hard to get into T50, given enough determination and time.

Oh, and you'd still need a certain amount of time to get into the ladder, at least during that ladder's period.

If anything, I've seen people walk away from trying after having seen how much time it would take. Says more about the people in T50 than the entertainment value or popularity of the game (would be a different issue if people could see how many people who actually play it, and what they do; most players haven't even discovered all the PvP events and otherwise yet). Unfortunately, a lot of people already dismiss it as a grindfest, and that ain't helping.
As for the ladder, yes, you would need to spend some time. Just not nearly enough, and the main things would be that it would be an actual close fight with other people, and anyone could get into it when they decide to.
