Personally, I find that Dive has too many cons compared to many other abilities in Elements. Two examples of the problems with using Dive creatures (other than creature controlling that single creature your opponent is buffing up to Dive) is Gravity Shield and Bone Wall.

So, since you have to focus on buffing a single, very vulnerable creature anyway, would it make sense that a Dive creature would gain Momentum on the same turn it activated Dive? Afterwards, Momentum will dissipate unless Dive is activated again?  :)

No it wouldnt make sense.

I would love if buffing a single creature would be a viable strategy, but it just isnt. The real problems are not shields (there are ways to get around those), but Antimatter (bugs with dive dont count), and Rewind - spells that directly screw your strategy up, and you cannot do anything about it but make your creature untargetable by yourself too, thus preventing application of future buffs on said creature.

Well, you can't do anything about creature control spells; every element has them. That is just why I omitted them, because it would be senseless to try and make a dive creature immune to creature control spells when they are in every element. It's a giant weakness to buff up a single creature just because of that, so I just think giving a Diving creature an even harder time with Shields is overkill.  ;)

I just thought of giving them Momentum mostly while thinking about how a Peregrine Falcon can reach 180 mph while diving. Sure, they don't have that much mass, but maybe the Elemental creatures do?  :)
