spell-reflecting shields (like Jade Shield) cannot reflect some spells (like black hole, poison and nightmare).

it probably needs a notice, "direct damage spell only," or reflects all ^-^

Jade Shield and Mirror Shield block Thunderbolt, Shockwave, Fire Lance, Ice Lance, Siphon Life, and I'm not sure, but I think Unstable Gas damage. If I'm wrong, what about Catapult?

Anyway, those affect your health, which is what the shields block. Things like SANCTUARY stop Black Hole, Discord, Pests, and Nightmare, because they affect the hand and the quanta pools.

Poison is indirect damage, so it gets through the shield.

More accurately Reflecting shield block Targeted Spells
Targeted means a target image appears.

Blackhole does not target.
Catapult is not a spell.
Firebolt is a targeted spell.

It blocks Unstable Gas (not targeted) and doesn´t block Holy Light (because of Healing).
Sanctuary also blocks Dissipation Shield /Field.

Actually, it does have the reflect word, when you holy light the opponent, but heals still.

If unstable gas can be reflected, catapult shall be for fair.
