There's a reason rares are called rares. It gave you ideas for real decks? Don't you mean shard farms?

Don't you mean shard farms? The problem is, you have to play many consecutive hours for any chance at earning a rare. And even after you've won a ton of consecutive games, there is still a strong chance that you won't get a rare. Also, I remember getting a varied adrenaline/vampire deck idea from the top 50. I fail to see how the Top 50 really ruined this game, it actually made it exciting.
The thing about the Arena is this: In order to beat higher level players, you need a lot of upgraded cards. A LOT. And upgrading cards takes a lot of time. A LOT. And even if you create a good deck, chances are low you'll win 4 times in a row. And THEN you have to try a slot machine to get a chance at a rare. Seems way to time- consuming for me.
If even good decks don't have rares in them, then why make rares insanely hard to obtain? If they aren't even that useful?
True, but I still fail to see why some cards are soooo much harder to obtain than others. I mean, 100 electrum towards getting a dragon, or numerous hours towards getting a not-so-good rare? The gap is just too big .
