It makes Hourglass practically obsolete. Ten turns of this = 20 cards drawn. If it's in play from the word 'go' and doesn't cost me anything, I'll still run a small deck. It will just be much faster.

This card would make the super aggressive decks insanely fast, so you would have to have an even faster control setup to deal with it. Larger decks would be possible and maybe even more playable, but I only see the tight decks benefiting the most from a card like this. I can't see any scenario where this would help the game.

On the bright side, I think it's a really neat idea... just not really what the game should have atm.

Okay, sorry, another design...

Per each 5 cards you have above the 30 limit, you get one starting Thudstone. Max deck size is 80.

What do you think?

Look, elements could use some more cards that effect drawing (I even started a thread suggesting one for each element a week or so ago), but making them 100% reliable is ridiculous. If you want big decks to be less unweidly then something like a mulligan feature would be much more balanced.

I would like to see the hourglass changed for target player drawing a card, and an effect that would cause target player to draw a card.  That way, we could see some decks designed to grind down your opponent's deck and win by a way other than direct damage.
