I think the real solution is to have a creature with the ability protects target artifact(s) while it is alive. I believe I've seen it somewhere among the card ideas/art section. Quint for random quanta is a no-no because it is inconsistent with the difficulty of funding the quanta through anubis and aether nymph--would pretty much make those cards obsolete. We could simply have a creature that still uses
quanta for indirect PA, since anubis and turquoise nymph still use
, but the cost can be waived through SoR.
