Alright. We all know that grinding sucks. We all know that some cards are underused because it's just not in the best grinder. How to solve these 2 problems in 1 go?
The answer: Draft battles!
1. Cardpool
Yes, an entirely new card pool will be created, and does not count to your main account. Players will draft from 8 cards each time. Player A chooses 1 card. Then B chooses 2 cards. Then A chooses 2 cards. Then B chooses 2 cards. Then A chooses 2 cards. A receives the last card. The same process will be repeated 4 times, and the cardpool for players will then be built. All cards in the category (except banned cards) may make an appearance besides pillars/pendulums. They will be supplied on unlimited amounts.
The categories are as follows:
a. All that Matters
Cards from
will appear. Bans: earthquake,?
b. Black and White
Cards from
will appear. Bans: ?
c. Pure Power
Cards from
will appear. Bans: discord,?
d. Rainbow Rain
Cards from all elements will appear. Bans: Black Hole, Nova, ?
Apart from all of the above bans (still working on it), shards will not appear. All cards are unupped.
2. Gameplay
The player(s) will be given time to build their decks. Time varies depend on settings.
Games will be played best out of 5 (first player to win 3 match wins). After each match the player may or may not modify his/her deck depending on the initial settings.
There will be a player vs AI (various AI levels on cardpicking/playing at best; uniform AI if not possible) and a player vs player (maybe too slow to be implemented) mode.
If deck changing is enabled, an additional rule about card ditching may be enabled as well (probably similar to war one?).
3. Rewards
Each player have to pay a certain amount of gold to enter this mode.
The player who wins a match in the middle of the whole mode can instantly earn a modest amount of electrum and score.
The player who claims victorious at last receives some electrum and score, as well as a rare spin.
Now grinding is not that boring as it seems... it takes brains!
This may be too idealised and/or not complete. Looking for suggestions.
