Should we nerf the Vampire Dagger?  It deals net 8 for only 1 darkness quanta, and the upped version deals net 12 for 2 quanta.  The unupped is the cheapest to play AND deals the most damage.  Upped ties in quanta with Druidic Staff, but outdeals it by 5.

Do you realise that it was only recently made that powerful because it was considered unplayably weak?

So because it recently was weak it is okay that it is overpowered now?

You compare it to druidic staff but that always heals 5 where as the vampire dagger has to hit to make it gain more.

The vampire dagger was to UP to be played before due to Druidic staff outclassing it in every way now it's fine as it is.

IMO, both versions should cost 2 :darkness.
But then again, such a minor tweak might not be necessary.

EDIT: Besides, druidic staff heals 20 when adrenalined and flying.

Hmm.  Still, 1 nova + 1 Vampdagger (assuming the opponent does not have a damage-reducing shield) = net 8 damage on turn one and 11 quanta.

It's just too easy to play, and too hard to win, at least from AI3.

Since when did Vampire Stiletto deal 8 damage? I remember it was a crappy 4 or less damage at some point and was changed to 6 damage which was great.

I would agree add 1 :darkness to costs of unupped and upped versions.

It doesn't do 8 damage. They are refering to net damage, 4 from the opponent and -4 from you for a gain of 8 damage.

Ah, that's why, I wasn't even considering that damage from the start.

But, yes, I still think it's good as it is. It's not like you can bring out several without Animate Weapons, so if you carry multiple, it could be a dead draw. If it was weaker, then it would be no better than it was before the change in it's "net damage."
