I've noticed that also. It seems like it will save quantums if it has a card in hand it is waiting to play, but my observations could be off.

It would be nice if Zanzarino could post the code for the AI decision making process. Then the community could work on making it better!

I guess I had noticed this before.  I've also discussed this a little in a different thread on Miracle, which frequently plays a golden dragon and leaves itself wide open to several more turns of bombardment without a chance to reload its HP.  Some have suggested this behavior only occurs when Miracle doesn't have a miracle in its hand, which may be true, although we won't ever know unless we get to see the code...

The AI seems to have a demonstrable aversion to spending its last quantums of a certain type.  To give an example, I just had an AI opponent sit two turns with two air quantum, an eagle eye and my physalia sitting on the board.  Suring the second turn, the AI played another Quantum Tower and got three more air quanta and THEN used the sniper.  No need to wait, there's no benefit to sitting around.

Yeah, I have noticed this also.  It may be just a simple coding decision though.  I think the AI is holding out on itself just in case it has a chance to get a card that uses more quantum, (such as a dragon or what not,) even though it may or may not be in it's deck.
