Adrenaline/rage - Feedback https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1729.msg15267#msg15267

I wanted to test those new cards and especially adrenaline. What i found was that adrenaline is quite useless. Its only good use is taking down bone walls with small 1/1 creatures.

Its script is bit flawed too. creature with 12/2 attacks for 16 damage with it... thats like 1 attack and then 1/3 attack... im not complaining about the extra damage, but for 4 mana and extra spot in deck, its not worth it. Rage potion also seems to suck, unless you are sure you will deliver killer hit after you use it.

my conclusion - perhaps usable in pvp but against fake gods, where durability is required, they are useless.

Druid/Firefly/FFQ with adrenaline, maybe a quint for protection is pretty damn good in my opinion.

Things I use my Rage Potion for:

Killing a foe if I don't have a better attack in my hand.
Weakening a foe enough for my Otys to munch it.
Super-charging a Lava Golem or Vulture.
Flipping the attack/defense of my Colossal Dragon.
Making Armagio good for something besides a meat shield.

As far as Adrenaline goes, it seems to have its' greatest power on a 2 or 3 attack strength creature. For example, you might add Momentum and Adrenaline to an Dragonfly, turning it from a 1/2 cannon fodder into a 2/3 that does 10 points of damage every round, without worrying about a shield. A creature with an attack of 3 does 12 points a round with Adrenaline on it, but a creature with an attack of 4 does only 9 (4-3-2 rather than the 3-3-3-3 of the prior case).

It's more useful if you cast it on the right creatures. Adrenaline scales as the creature gets bigger - it's most efficient on a creature with 3 attack. Casting it on a Ruby Dragon, for example, is less efficient because of the diminishing returns deliberately built into the card to stop you dealing 60 damage in a single turn from a single creature. On top of that, it has other benefits such as breaking through Procrastination Shields and Freezes more efficiently, and applying certain abilities that trigger on attack (eg. venom) more often.

Adrenaline is overwhelmingly powerful in the right circumstances.  Superior targets include:

FFQ (just like before, only 4x stronger)
Damselfly/Brimstone Eater/non-Elite Firefly (4 quanta/turn)
Animated Druid Staff (20 HP/turn)
Pufferfish/Animated Arsenic (2 poison/turn)
Horned Frog (12 damage/turn for very little quanta, sets up very fast)
Animated Elite Titan (17 unstoppable damage/turn)
and my personal favorite, Momentumed Deja Vu (24 dmg/turn after the spawning).

If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

also, Malignant cell: copies itself twice a turn, instead of once every second turn, currently trying to find a good deck with this technique, would be able to fill the enemies field in just a couple of turns
