Add a Noise when your Turn Starts

I don't know about anyone else, but I play Elements while I work, and I rely on the sound of other people playing cards to tell me when my turn has come around.  Sometimes they don't, and I completely miss my turn.  It seems like adding a simple chime at the start of your turn would be an easy thing to do, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would benefit.

Is this a possibility?

They have a sound for coin toss...there is a card play sound...they have an oracle sound...seems to me you could just reuse the oracle sound. *Ping*

Maybe because it was never suggested also this is a good idea because i do alot of tab switching.

Actually, only Chrome has desync problems when tabbing, because it freezes flash when switching to other tabs. IE, Firefox and Opera should have no problems.
btw, I think this would be a nice addition, even though I turn sound off when I play this game, since the addition is helpful and non-detractive.

thats one of the things i hate about chrome. i play a lot of flash games on kong and the whole pausing thing pisses me off a lot

You know what? You're right. To help prevent this, maybe the "Tip of the Year" under the game screen should be changed to alert people about potential desyncs if they should change tabs while using Chrome. A better solution would be to fix desync altogeter (duh!).

I'm a fan of the chime idea btw.

Chrome

How and why Chrome can be good:

1. Install Chrome Toolbox (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fjccknnhdnkbanjilpjddjhmkghmachn)

2. Refresh http://elementsthegame.com/ (http://elementsthegame.com/) if you had it open already

3. Move your mouse over the game window, and click the small blue icon that appears in the top left

4. If it doesn't appear, you didn't refresh, of you have some unknown addon that I did not account for. Whoops.

5. You have now opened the game window in Video Standalone mode. The small Pin icon to the left of the Minimize button lets you pin your Video Standalone window on top, meaning you can interact with windows below it without them covering Chrome. If you minimize Chrome then reopen it, and find the screen completely blank, just click inside the Video Standalone window once, then click outside of it once, and the window should display normally.
