Someone has to control the insults in pvp. I've been called a bitch. Someone is going to do something? Or just going to let a bunch of idiots insult people?

Because if the answer is that you can not or will not do anything... I may start taking a more aggressive stance in pvp chat  >:(

This is the internet.  If you cannot handle the people on the internet I recommend that you stop going on the internet.

No matter where you go on the internet there will always be some tard who flames, curses and may even speak blasphemy.  The idea to censor and regulate in-game chat is a lot harder to achieve as there are multiple ways around chat filters and no one is going to sit there and moderate chat.  In short, it is not possible and futile to attempt.

Lets assume there was a censor that blocked out curse words.  Assume GAWIT is a curse word and is censored.  There are multiple ways to still say the word and not trigger the censor

GA WIT
G.A.W.I.T
GAW IT
G A W I T
xGxAxWxIxTx
GAW
IT
or my favorite... say it in another language...

The best way to handle this obscure use of vulgarity is to brush it off.  Or even have fun with it--CURSE BACK!  make some incredible comebacks

Yep. This is a free game, so hiring 10 people to watch all the PvP chats 24/7 is not a possibility.

If I can or I can not tolerate an insult for no reason is none of your business and is no excuse for the owners of the game so they do not accept any responsibility for their own game. Is their game, do it right or do not have a game. Why there is not yet a place where we can make public the name of those who insult us?

I do not care if this is the internet. The server must send the information to my computer so I can see the insult. By the time the message appears on my screen, that information is no longer in internet, but my computer's memory. It's in my computer. So keep those messages on the Internet, out of my sight. (an in a hurry and angry explanation about any website behavior, but if hey, you can investigate yourself)

Perhaps a good option to avoid this would be that if someone is reported in the forum, he lose his right to use pvp chat.

You know, I think the developers might have more important things to deal with than to make sure that you are not called a "bitch" again (which I'm guessing will happen many times again because of this thread).

Like others have said, learn to take insults or stop using the internet.

P.s. When you pay money for Elements, you can make demands. As long as it's FREE, you either play it or you don't.

Is their game, do it right or do not have a game.
That's really extreme.  Considering that this is a FREE game (as mentioned above), the owners/designers rightfully have complete autonomy of what they wanna do with this game.  Sorry you don't like the way the system currently is, but if you don't like, then either suck it up and deal with it... or just don't play.  I think those are more realistic options for you to decide on rather than demanding for the game to change based on your personal needs.  After all, it's a privilege that we even get to enjoy this FREE awesome game.

Perhaps a good option to avoid this would be that if someone is reported in the forum, he lose his right to use pvp chat.
I disagree with this.  Simply reporting someone shouldn't be the basis of losing the right to use the chat function.  This can potentially open itself up to a lot of abuse.  After all, where is line between who gets banned and who doesn't?  Will you report me just because I said "damn" and it offended you?  Will I be banished from chatting because I pulled out a "yo mama" joke in the middle of a match?  Moderating this as correctly as possible requires a decent amount of manpower that I'm assuming the current staff can not afford in terms of opportunity cost.

The way I see it - just have fun with it.  Trash-talking is part of the game no matter what the game is.  Even in basketball or football, there's a lot of trash-talking exchanged between players and it's mostly in good fun.  It's part of what a spirited competition is all about.  Don't take it so seriously.  Just laugh it off and use it as additional motivation to beat your opponent!

And it you really can't handle it, take a piece of paper approximately the size of the chat box and tape it to your monitor when you're PVPing.  Simple individual fix  :P

Ditto.  You beat me to the punch AND did it in a much more concise manner... hah

why did you have to take out the negative karma sg? (all joking aside) i agree with alot of what the people in this debate are saying. though it would be nice to have a button that makes it to where the messages sent to you never make it to you, kind of like the mute feature in most chat rooms. though i do understand that it takes time to do this.
my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "its better than yours" damn right, its better than yours! i can teach you but i'd have to charge!
