Immaterial creatures can target other Immaterial creatures, Dimensional Shield makes you Immaterial and therefore able to do stuff on those.

This way you aren't targeting Immaterial creatures from the Material Phase, what is impossible, so it's fine.

Cool... but what with untouchable artifacts (Morningstar, Emerald Shield, etc.). Do they count as immaterial too?

Uh... decide yourself. I personally say no, as Enchantment is a different thing from Immateriality.

Should immaterial critters (or you) be able to target material ones?

So far they can, so why not. Immaterial creatures attack material players...

Oh. Those should also be able to go through Dimshield.

I like this idea. I hate how almost every immortal creature becomes an occupied-card-slot-that-periodically-deals-x-damage. Imo there should be a way to destroy them (even though it should definitely be a hard one) and the one Bob suggested sounds just cool and fine to me.

so far no immortal creatures have abilities, unless you use an anubis or the aether potion. This would seriously nerf mono aether by a lot, make rainbows mutant immortals even more OP

But mono aether would be able to act on his own creatures the most, since it uses phase shield the most. Rainbow doesn't use it as much.

I think being able to target immortal creatures, no matter how, sets a bad precedent; there isn't enough variety of cards in this game for cards that break the established rules to be balanced imo.

On an unrelated matter, a card that makes all of your creatures immortal for one turn would rock (like a dimensional shield for creatures).

What about a card or effect that removes status effects like frozen, immaterial etc. from cards. I tried to explain what I mean at the topic Dispel/Status removal (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2039.0.html)

The problem is that immaterial creatures can't be even targeted.

Exactly. It's like trying to tranquilize a rabbit when it's so fast and running away you can't even stab a syringe into it. Just in this case the syringe will go right through even if you hit, and do nothing.
