I was thinking of a new game using elements cards based on two other flash games I've seen
(Pax World Cup 2010 on Kong and Bird Pax on Funny-games)...i would link them but I'm not allowed to because that would be "promoting" other games on this forum.... just to clarify i'm not trying to promote these games...elements has a much longer lasting appeal and is much better than either of these games but i just think an elements version of these games would be cool...if you dont understand my explanation, you can search for the games and play them to get the idea...
basically the game is this:
-You have 6 cards in your hand
-First player plays a card, 2nd must play a card and should try to play one of higher (#) value
-First player may play a 2nd card if he has another card of the same "type" (in our case would be element)
-2nd Player may play 2nd card if has the same type...etc. etc.
-The cards that each player plays each round are then added and whoever has the most wins all the cards into their deck.
-Players draw new cards until they have 6 again and the player who won the last turn starts.
-IF you play a card the same color as your opponent (or a card with the same value), it is called PAX and 3 cards (like in war) get played face up (not like war) but dont count toward your total, the person who played the "PAX" card must go first and then whoever wins the hand wins all the cards
-every time you win a card there is a slider on the right and it slides closer to your opponent and when it reaches him you win but if it reaches you then you lose
...I'm not sure if i did a good job explaining it but it's really easy if you just go to one of the links..if someone else can explain it better I'd be very greatful
So... How would we adapt it to elements?
-I was thinking we could have a new PAX game mode (ideally PVP, but AI could work too i guess)
-Ideally, the values of cards would be based on their bazaar prices or maybe a new value system could be added just for PAX so that it would be balanced...worst case scenario we could use quanta cost and/or att/hp and limit it to creatures but that would mean a lot more "PAX" situations (whatever situation, it would be ideal to have a fairly large spread of values but no single card should be that much stronger or weaker than the ones above and below it)
-You would make your own deck (I dont know the ideal size) but probably you'd be limited to 1 or 2 versions of each card in the deck
-Pillars would be useless, "Other card" would be "wild" (able to count as any element)...I'm not sure what to do with Unupped Lucifarse whether to keep it as "Other" but it's really a Light card so idk...also cards like Photon, Spark, Immo, and Nova could be used to feed bad cards to your opponent when they play strong ones but they would still have no value.
-You'd have 3 PVP levels: if you used bazaar costs they'd probably be something like, Unupped No Rares, Unupped w/ Rares, Upped (rares allowed). if you used quanta costs it'd probably be like under 5, under 10 and unlimited... i was hoping that you could keep all the cards that were in your deck at the end of the game (so you'd win some cards and lose some)...i think that would be a cool new way to get cards/electrum as you'd have to risk losing good cards in order to play well and win good cards...
anyways, let me know what you think and what the points of confusion are...
