I don't think changing which mark you use should be free.  After all, that provides a quantum source to you that the opponent can do nothing about.  He can't steal it or disintegrate it.  That means you get 1 quantum of that element every round no matter what.  That makes it a lot more valuable than you think, and therefore shouldn't be changed for free.

A good reason for the fee is- okay I need to explain how I built my deck when I started the game. I looked at the wiki, found out what starter deck gives what, picked fire, and changed my mark to earth right after modifiying my deck a bit. I still play as a fire deck, I just use earth to fuel abilitys. The metamorphoisis fee made senses to me for the single fact the there needs to be a pentaly for picking an elelment just for the starter deck, so maybe a better idea then having no fee is having no fee for elelments you've already played as at least once. With 100 gold you could play with two elements, ect.. but the first fee for chaning your element to a new one makes sense to me. Being charged afterwards doesn't. I hope this makes sense :)

Hehehe... I only read page one, sorry. On page two though i read something really interesting by Pilchard123 about making your mark a card. Whatever, just read his post, he explains it great. I think that it's a great idea, but that the mark card should cost more than 100, maybe 150 like the original cost for chaning your element was. And I love the idea of a quantum mark. And also, I played as a rainbow deck fo quiet a while, during that time I went a bit crazy about picking my mark and wanted to go with having no mark. Just for the challange. If marks were cards then this would give the game a whole new level to it, and having a good deck and using the right mark with it would still be rewarded. Sorry for the long post. And Samsmart is right, your mark is to important to be something without a price on it. Most my games I've played with my current deck would be lost if not for my mark.
