[Suggestion] Unoriginality in Arena?

I have a suggestion that won't abolish, but reduce the urgent lack of creativity among our players in the arena.

So if you haven't noticed, half of the decks in Arena are literally the exact same as each other. This is pretty lame. I was thinking that it would be better, perhaps, if it was made impossible to have more than 1 of the same deck code as your arena deck, per level/category. I was also thinking that this applies only to people who's score is <500.

So for instance, in Bronze Arena, 2 people who's score is less than 500 cannot have the exact same Mono Aether. Or 2 people in Gold can't have the exact same Grabbow.

Also, this shouldn't count upgraded cards as 'different'.

What do you people say?

I definitely agree with said lack of originality.

This isn't a bad idea at all. Dunno how difficult the implementation would be.

it would force the game into comparing your deck code against 500 different codes for every new deck you put, or for every change you decide to do to your deck after. not sure how the game server would handle this for everyone

Well wouldn't it be able to run a screen and compare the deck code to the other 499 decks when you hit the submit button? Like you hit submit, you get a 'Submitting' button in it's place, then if it doesn't pass the screen it gets an error message. It doesn't submit the deck BEFORE screening it.

Certainly an idea. I remember joking in chat saying to encourage creativity, no two people at the same time may have the same deck, but if it's just arena. It should be fine. Of course, then you'll just get 34 card ghostmares with 1 card changed.

True, but this encourages a little more creativity. At least just a little. Plus, there are only so many changes you can make to like a Mono Aether or a specific deck that can let it still work.

There's nearly infinite combos to the mono aether we know. Even if it's a 35 card deck, with 6 immortals, 4 dragons, 6 shields, and 19 pillars, there will be someone who swaps a pillar for a dragon, a pillar for an immortal, a pillar for a dirk, a pillar for a nova, a pillar for a photon, or even a dead card like ruby dragon. It does allow more creativity, but not nearly enough due to the loopholes.

But a dead card affects the player's chances. And less dragons or more dragons still make the workings of the deck vary, so at least people who go into Arena to play for rares aren't facing the exact same deck each time. I didn't say it was the perfect fix, but it does make things a wee bit better.

A MA deck with a pillar swapped for a ruby dragon is exactly the same as a MA deck with a pillar swapped for a hematite golem is nearly the exact same thing as a MA deck with a pillar swapped for a nova. The tiny 1 card change won't make that big of a difference, and instead will have people complaining "WTF, why can't I build this deck? Zanz you suck!"

My opinion is the following; since the space of getting the card or not is dead nowdays (you ALWAYS get the Oracle's card, so no further "Yes, you get the card!!!!" info is needed) we could replace it with a random spin generator which will show what kind of deck the player must build. If , and symbols appear, for example, the deck must include at least 6 cards of these elements (pillars/pendulums excluded). If , and  symbols appear, the deck must include at least 6 cards and 12 cards (pillars/pendulums excluded). Other cards are always allowed, or we could add a symbol representing other cards in the spin.

I think I put up a suggestion somewhere that suggested the oracle gave you a number from 30-60 each day. Your arena deck would either have to be that large, or you would get some benefit if you built it that large (double the monetary gain, slightly higher rank increase...etc)

That's also a very good suggestion, however it doesn't prevent ghostmare decks (or every other overused kind of decks) to be built again and again...
