In terms of this sundial nerf, I think it would have been better if it was done when the new cards were added. Right now, the cards we have are just not dynamic enough to false-god farm anymore. To do any false-god farming with one deck requires a lot of resigning against specific decks and restarting in hopes of getting a reasonable false-god. IOW, false-god farming is out of the picture now and it's not nearly as efficient as it was before.

And it doesn't matter what false god decks were "meant to be", it matters more what they were and what they've now become.

I think I'll spend my idle time elsewhere with other games for now since Elements just isn't "fun" for me anymore with this nerf. I didn't care for PvP since that was so broken with clients not syncing correctly. So I'll wait for the next update with new cards. And the positive side is this gives me more incentive for creating my own flash CCG. It takes quite a bit of work to make it as polished as Zan did, but flashy bells and whistles matter little compared to gameplay value.

I'm sorry but that just sounds sort of stupid to me. It's like complaining about AI in your favorite FPS growing smarter and stopping your repetitive moves.  The AI is a lot of games nowadays learn and adjust theirselves to counter your moves. when the AI beats your repetitive strategy, make a new strategy. Add more shields, more hourglasses. there are always ways around things like that.

Hey!

Sundial was my primary card drawing device. I don't like it now. Now I can draw only one card/sundial. If I could draw card in the same turn when I played out Sundial, I don't have problem with the one turn limit.

Card draw is the primary thing that made Sundial so powerful, not the fog effect IMO (though that was still powerful). If you still want card draw, I suggest you look at including more Hourglasses in your deck.

A max of 6 turns of protection and drawing instead of 12 is a huge nerf. I agree that Sundial was too much of a must-have card, but this was the wrong way to deal with it.

Agreed, QFT.

Now end-game feels like a boring grind timesuck rather than a relaxing experience. I don't know why people think battling the same false gods over and over again is challenge. Oh, excuse me, with some additions there of other, new false gods that are equally unchallenging because of the limited card dynamics. False-god farming was a relaxing experience, but now it's just 'work'. I play for entertainment, and part of that is a sense of completition by getting 6 of all upgraded cards and a top score, not as a timesuck that feels like work.

But oh well, this is just a flash game after all. :)

scared have you tried a animate weapon deck? I subbed out the lava golem elite graboid and fire queens added posedion pulverizer eternity and the owl plus 4 animate cards 2 graveyards and 2 oytos and 2 elite anubis's total of 60 cards though took out armor too?.....guess I should just say what my damn deck is.....  it seems to do ok vs some of the gods atm  just need to survive the initial rush which is always the tough part.

I started playing this game with 1 turn sundial (I think it was bugged since they lasted two turns), and to be honest not much has changed for me.  I started, as with most, with 0 upgraded cards, and I find the nerf to Sundials fine.  Decks have already been posted to counter this nerf, and in my opinion, they are working fine.

Plus, with alchemy cards released, the metagame is changing right now.

When sundial was a two turns I had 6 of them in my deck. Now that its one turn, I have 0. If the upgraded version goes back to 2 turns then I'd use it but as it stands, no way.

phew HIGHLY controversial card and nerf here XD

ok yes it does seem a lot more balanced and bland etc and now rainbow users have to rely on more traditional phase shields to get that much needed stall in

however i would digress that it was nerfed in it's most critical area for FG matchups

that 6 missing turns between the gods which allowed you to sit back and really get your strategies rock solid to chance the win is sorely missed

true the drawing power was nice but if your deck was small enough and focused on just what you needed it's not sorely missed as much i'd prefer it got it's 2 turn's stall as i find that to be more what it was needed for against the super cheating now smarter false gods in fact extending it's time to put YOU on the backfoot of attacks would even have been something which would have nerfed it more fairly

i'm understanding that it's a free two turn creature stall that was causing problems and all that but without it false gods can MUCH easily overrun you with impunity are now smarter at it and of course are no longer a pleasure and a challenge and more of a pain in the ****** hole to play against

i think i played against 5 false gods since the changes and instantly tossed in the towel and went back to the drawing board EVEN with a good grasp on how to adapt and the knowledge that rainbow isn't dead just more balanced that simple lack of stall gave the gods even more of the unfair advantage

add to this the fact they got new cards they can more readily abuse and i instantly raised the "wtf that's a load of BS" flag and started grinding half bloods who now due to better AI and further abuse of new cards and better design are a far cry from the already difficult "farms" that they were before

i wanted to see more of a challenge to keep everyone happy but when you combine the main card to help deal with them being nerfed AND increase of abusable cards in their line up you really do see that the changes while good in many respects have made more problems than they've solved

and i'm in full agreement after a while of getting to grips that it's not the old players who've already exploited and grinded the gods but in fact the newer players that got shafted

all i'm getting at is that it was nerfed fairly in some way's but in the WRONG area's

as it's stands

FG's +3

players -2
