I just don't like this because most "useful" god farming decks used them to their maximum power. I see how they were OP before, but i would have nerfed them differently.
I would have restricted their number to 3 in a deck, not ruining their potential like this.

Yeah, the more I am playing with this change the more annoyed I am becoming. This change needs to be reverted until there is something else for people to do to fill the ENORMOUS gap between FGs and level 3.   Until then there is nothing to keep new/newer players interested.

Well, with the 1 turn duration, maybe the 2 light quanta requirement for upgraded cards is too steep.
What do you win with the upgrade: instead of 1 time you pay 1 light. (Ok, and stalling 1 round is free).

It makes dial only cost one element, allowing decks to splash light for the dial.

Limiting their number to 3 would have been a bad move. You can take 6 copies of every single non-pillar card in the game, but not Sundial. Don't you think that's a weird and confusing solution?

Two possible (and logical) nerfs were to either change the cost or change the duration. Zanz chose the latter.

Sundial seems to be more balanced in rainbow decks now but I'm wondering one thing: Would Sunaial be better if it cost only Time or only Light? The fact that it costs both, won't make the card popular in non-rainbow deck.

Glad I almost got 6 of every card upgraded cause FG are impossible now.... Graviton ... good luck Obliterator.... have fun, hell the Chaos Lord walks thru me like butter now.  And I run a modified rainbow deck.  Hope you hate new people joining this game cause they are going to grind forever to get 1 stinkin card now lol.  Yah

False Gods are meant to be difficult.

Level 5 AI is coming soon (it's already in beta) and it's going to be a perfect opponent for newbies without upgraded cards.

I played against False Gods today. I made a deck that had 6 upgraded cards and I did pretty well. Even with the fully non-upgraded version of that deck I was able to beat most of the Gods but those 6 upgrades made a huge difference.

Stasis lasting only 1 turn is not a big problem. The fact that you can only draw 1 card is a much bigger problem.

Well, it isn't more weird than any other new rule or card. Maybe other new cards (aflatoxin comes to mind) may need to be similarly restricted. When there are 5-6 such cards, and you know the rule for months, it wouldn't be that weird and confusing. Simply a new rule to learn.  This isn't such a crazy idea that comes from nowhere, I played Yu-gi-oh, where there are similar rules.

Taking rules from Yu-Gi-Oh is probably a bad plan.

In my opinion, there are better solutions to this problem (like the one that Zanz picked) that don't involve confusing players.

Difficult I agree the gods are ment to be...some were very difficult to begin with morte scorpio to name a few hermes.... if you dont have the exact counter on the lucky first draw with these you are done.  Period.  now lol well I dont even waste time playing htem I know I will loose so whats the point.


I just look for miracle or fire queen and if those two arent up I just quit.  Oblitorator is a god we never needed.  Graviton is brutal now I am 1 for 10 atm on him I was 4 for 10 before and well hermes well lol I dont even bother now.  He just nukes everything off the bat with quicksand so you cant do a thing.  Lame

All I can say is good luck to those new players.

I've personally tried to find a non-Sundial False God killer for ages now. I've tried everything and it just cannot be done.

Sundial was a perfect card because it was 100% non-situational. It was extremely useful against all the Gods in all situations. No other card in the game can achieve that.

These are the facts I've found out the hard way after wasting many many hours:

1. It has to be a rainbow deck
2. You need Sundials

If you don't follow those two rules, your deck will not be successful. But if someone wants to prove me wrong, I'm all ears.
