So, I'll update OP with stuff. Probably. But first let's get some information.

However, I doubt that dragon reworks would be the best idea since that's kinda meh. So here's the list without dragons.

That is basically right inline with what my brain was trying to put into words, AD.

(You can take credit for it - as you are GP's Card Designer and took an idea and actually made a card from it.)

After thinking, I feel like this might get some hate for being CC for Life (and it isn't even soft CC either).

And preferably we should try to minimize hating chances.

A couple of ideas:

Cockatrice
They can kill with their gaze. Unsure what to do with that.

Hematite Golem
: Harden
Gain +0|+X, where X is equal to half your quanta

Graviton Mercenary
Defend: Any spells targeting ally creatures instead target Graviton Mercenary

Abyss Crawler
: Submerge
Untargetable next turn
Deal double damage upon surfacing

Of course, the ability can only be used once. However it does not say that on the card for the same reason that Deja Vu and Lycanthrope don't.

I do quite like this idea from dawn... It is damaging but only kills creatures of certain HP so could likely avoid angering the die-hard "life should not have CC"ers out there.

Interesting. An ability name would be nice though. And although it doesn't necessarily have to specify that it's one time use, it's probably better to put that on the card somewhere in case there are those people who only look at the image and not the notes.

So, tweaked for some clarification (and added the official EtG artwork, although maybe I shouldn't have done that)

ART: Art from EtG IDEA: Gaia's Pride NOTES: Cockatrices are known for being able to kill using only their gaze. This card reflects that ability. As the card itself mentions, this is a one time ability (like Lycanthrope/Deja Vu). Opposing slot refers to the slot on the opponent's field that is in the same position as this card would be if the board were to be folded in half (so if this was in the very middle slot, then the creature affected would be the creature in the very middle slot on the opponent's side). If there is no creature there and this ability is used, it's wasted. SERIES: Forum Brawl #5 - Round Two
