You have to register AGAIN to use the chat. Forums and chat are not integrated.

Look for a "REGISTER" button at the bottom-right of the login screen.

What? What if someone else registered the name "Bloodshadow" there and pretended to be me?! Good thing I registered my own name before a random troll did.

It may be possible to bridge the databases. But this depends on how the registration information is stored and retrieved in the chat script.

It's possible. I even know how to do it.

But after thinking about it, I probably won't bridge the two. This way we are not forcing the chat people to make a forum account. Also when you deal with databases, there's always a risk of monumental failure. I just don't see the point in risking it because the current system works just fine.

Identity theft is not a problem because of IP addresses. And frankly, I find it very unlikely that we would have tons of people trying to be Bloodshadow in chat. :)

Then the world as we know it shall cease to exist!

Oh, wait.. both of those names are taken already.

Never mind.

P.s. I can see the IP's too

Yeah, I agree with Bloodshadow. What if someone takes another person's name and pretends the be that person?

I could go to Kongregate forums right now, register with someone else's name and there would be nothing he/she could do about it.

Difference here is that on this chat I can check the IP and fix the problem.

Anyone who wants to keep their name should go register it. It's as simple as that.
