If only I figured it out before, but I think the element choice was a test, as she said "A couple", which is supposed to mean 2, but often misused for "a few".  So there is no real likelihood that your in.

How much effort is required by potential testers to test alpha? How often does one need to log in, every day? How much time is needed, 15 minutes every day, 45?

It's a commitment, you need to be ready to spend at least 5 mins updating your actions every 48 hours. Make sure you are prepared to offer feedback when you think of it.

I would say that the most time-consuming part is learning the rules and learning them again when they change into something completely different. Second biggest time-sink is probably having to fight PvP battles when someone attacks you or you attack them. Posting of your round actions (which you are supposed to do every round) takes around 5 minutes (like Timer said), depending on what you are doing that round.
