Solution:

A) Cards are full-size and overlap to save space. (better solution)

B) We use a pop-image (Go here and mouse-over on those links to see what I mean: http://elementswiki.co.cc/false-god/fire-queen/ )
How about a mix of both? Overlapping Card images that pop to front when hovered (small example: http://frz.cc/elements/Fire_Queen.htm (ripped from the wiki) hover the cards)

Quote
We've never been able to see the card's effect in the deck sections. Why would that be a problem now?
Because it was not (easily) possible before but now it is/should be.

Good idea. We'll definitely do that.

This is the worst idea ever. Why would anybody want an easy way to submit decks to the forums? ;)

What if some user would like to use current card's code in normal way? I mean I see for example "717" as code for one of cards in one of my deck. "717" could be used as a "number" somewhere in normal post.

I think you need to change these codes a little/make sure no one would use them in "normal" way. Like adding and

Deck import code : [Select]
tags or something like that.

Here's one deck:

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 52n 52r 592 5c6 5c6 5f8 5oj 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 5up 61t 621 6u6 74b 74b 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5Which of those are you going to use in a sentence? Most of them are just gibberish.

Although are some codes that could potentially be used in daily talk. For example:

"My score is 592"

"I woke up at 7am"

"I have been grinding for 80h straight!"

"Her bra size was 80d"

etc.

Having or

is possible but it's against the whole idea of this thread - copy-pasting your deck code to produce an image of the deck.

We are going to have a second trigger too. So maybe if I type:

:electrumhourglass

it will produce:

But you can still easy copy-paste your deck into tags? Like:

Code: [Select]
[deck]4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 52n 52r 592 5c6 5c6 5f8 5oj 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 5up 61t 621 6u6 74b 74b 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5[/deck]What is here against the idea of simplicity? It just avoids all misunderstandings.

Damn... I started working on something like this when the 1.20 beta was out... And after asking if someone have any idea about it on the chat, they said they prefer taking screenshots, this idea suck, useless... -_-

Maybe I can continue this.

So far I understanded how the card list is working (base 32 with starting values for each color/upgrade group) and put it all in a database. I have a working deck image list generator too, but missing some cards. But I'm using the small cards images (the one in the deck creation screen, small square, much compact).

If I can help... I don't have much free time so I won't work on something that would be useless.

+1 for that.
Simply having cards appear wherever also makes stacking and hovering them rather hard... ;)

lol my idea was taken seriously.

Hmm.. seems like you did have this idea before. Well.. the card smiley part of it.

I didn't give you any credit because I came up with this by mistake when adding those big quantum icons. I thought it was my own idea but I most likely stole it from you subconsciously, seeing I had seen your idea before and looking at my reply I also liked it :)

Ok, sorry I misunderstood. I read the whole thing like you would have suggested when you have to put the tags around each card (I know a MtG plugin that does this).

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
makes perfect sense and something like that would be great. Unfortunately it also makes things a bit more difficult because we cannot use simple smileys anymore (which I knew would happen when we take this to the next level).

I makes it impossible. We need the
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
system with a button that creates the tag (like it does with images etc.)

Lol, that sounds about right. Welcome to internet :)

Sounds great. You should start a thread about this project. I was going to try to find someone like you who could do the project but seems like you found us :)

The
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
idea sounds good, if it can be made somehow... might be possible to pilfer from CK's wikia templates, perhaps?

I think tags could be nice as well, if it can be done: linking to the wiki with a popup on hover, kinda like in that Fire Queen (http://elementswiki.co.cc/false-god/fire-queen/) article.
For example, would be Rain of Fire (http://elementswiki.co.cc/cards-fire/rain-of-fire-fire-storm/) (with a popup). Would take some magic to get it to link even for not quite perfect matches, but would be quite nice.
I'd much rather see that than card smilies... the marks are bad enough as it is.
