The plan is to use social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to get more people to play Elements.

Giminar is in charge of our Facebook pages located here: http://facebook.com/elementsthegame (http://facebook.com/elementsthegame)

As a reward for his work I gave him a "Facebook Guy" award. You can see the award here:

If you have ideas or comments regarding our Facebook pages, please PM Giminar.

I was wondering if the game had a facebook page, I found the answer. But why isn't there any big link to the facebook page on the starting screen of the game, or under the link the game wiki? Many more members would join the elements facebook page, with is in our time a realy powerfull advertising support.

And I think that people who are discovering the game would get into the community more easily by facebook, or any site like that, than with any type of forum. For many people going on facebook is nearly a daily ritual, it's obviously not the same speaking of the forum of a flash game.

The community is what take the game alive, so it must be accesfull. In a nutshell, I would suggest a little facebook icone, under the donate paypal in the main menu.

One thing I suggest about the facebook page... Stop posting pretty much everything that happens on the forum... At least twice an hour I was getting updates which just said "Forum: " and then a link. I'm not sure if this was due to the twitterfeed or if it's Giminar posting that often, but either way, I'd say stop it else you might find more people either hide it from their updates (and thus forget elements exists) or un-fan, which will certainly lead them to give the game bad press.

Perhaps instead just use it to give out updates (eg, when a new false god comes out, or a patch is due) or to take quick polls or just get the general mood of your fans (eg, asking "what's the most over powered PvP card?").

Thanks for the tip. Yep this is something I should have done a long time ago.

I'm using http://twitterfeed.com/ to post in Facebook automatically. The thing posted way too many posts before. It was basically spamming like crazy.

I tweaked it so that it posts only once every 6 hours, and only from 3 different categories (news and events). I might even go lower than that, we'll see.
