...

If only I had an actually active team. Then this would be epic.

I like this, will help me decide whether or not I want to take part next war season :)
I guess we won't be seeing you in War #2 then :)
Warriors live very dirty lives, it seems.

War #2 confuses me with the bidding thing - I purely just don't understand it  :-\  ??? lol
Random teams imo -- most fair way tbh imo
e.g. players want to take part: 1st person is on  :aether ... 2nd  :air ... 3rd ...etc

It's an auction.

Players are auction items, and Masters are buyers who bid on the players. Highest bid wins and determines on which team a player goes.

Very simple.

okay - I won't take part just yet I think

Okay - but the more they bid the less cards they have to play with - okay I think I get it ^^

tbqh i dont really like this... we're going to see the same strategies next year from every team (probably depending on earth's strategy)...also, it reveals a lot of decks that you might want to use for PVP/Tournaments that you might not want to share with a bunch of other people

All the decks have already been made public in the results thread.

As for everyone copying :earth and using the same exact strategy.. I think that's just silly talk. :) If :earth used the same strategy next time, they would get owned by their opponents. Knowing your opponents strategy beforehand = almost guaranteed win.

Yes your decks that you use in war are made public...but those usually aren't good all-around decks, they're made in more of a rock-paper-scissor guess of what your opponent has based on his element, the brainstorming decks might never get used but those are the ones that would be useful in tournaments

Secondly, what is your definition of strategy? Please explain to me how knowing that Earth has a thread dedicated to each element with known cards known decks whatever etc... would help my team at all other than me being able to copy that strategy?  (Let alone "guarantee" a win)

So we shouldn't make those sections public because there might be some secret "brainstorming decks" there? Are you serious? :)

I'm not really sure what you are saying in that second part but the point of this is..

1. Entertainment
This is the #1 reason why everyone is here. This is not about government secrets, it's about fun. And seeing these secret areas is fun for people who have been following the War event. It gives them a rare glimpse of what's happening behind the scenes.

2. Education
When everyone gets access to these areas, they will see the mistakes the losers made, and the awesome strategic decisions winner made. This will help everyone prepare for the next War. It also helps newbies to understand the whole process.

These sections were made secret so that opponents cannot see what they are fighting against. They weren't made secret because they are some kind of top-secret Cold War agent meeting.

Just fyi, I think the biggest thing that's giving us the lead is probably deckbuilding and then the way we built our Vault. (Props to Dema for the idea).

I'm willing to bet that most teams will use our method (If they didn't find it already) during the next War.

The strategy thing is mostly true, although one big thread with all that data is in construction.

And SG, using the same tactic to strategize, make your decks, and analyze your opponents isn't something your opponent can capitalize on, because it's simply compiling their deck information, which must be true (Or not, but then they're disqualified) together to see what they do and don't have.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

I like this. The first of anything is a learning experience and we can all learn about how to organise things etc. and how not too.

New cards will bring in new strategies/possibilities so I don't think there is much value to looking at decks really. As mentioned, decks are already made public.
