Deck Helper

What is a Deck Helper?
A Deck Helper is one who manages the Deck section of the forums, is responsible for monitoring that section to make sure everything is under the correct category (as well as moving them to the correct category if they are not), and making sure everything stays up-to-date after major updates. To be a Deck Helper, you must have an excellent grasp on what defines the different types of decks (monos, duos, etc), and you must remain fair and unbiased in your actions. Your job will not necessarily be to spend all of your time in the Deck section, but it will be to keep everything well-organized and neat.

Requirements
-Jr. Member and above
-Very active on the forums (if you fall behind on this, it can easily become overwhelming)
-Good spelling and grammar
-Some experience with Google Docs

The Council is planning on either hiring one or two Deck Helpers, which will be based most likely off of the number of applicants.

Just a small note:

Decks are currently classified as Mono, Duo, etc. based on a so-called "count the colors" system.  This is not because it most accurately captures what should be considered a Mono, Duo, etc. in game.  This is because (among other reasons), it is the simplest and least likely to cause confusion for people unfamiliar with the forums assuming they actually read the sticky threads.  Note that I did not create this policy; it's been around since before I even joined this community after very careful deliberation on what the best form of classification should be.

You'll find that most of the requirements and guidelines that are in place in the Decks sections are there to make things simpler for all users (including Deck Helpers).  I'm bringing this up because the Decks sections receive a lot of traffic (arguably more than any other sections on the forums) from newer players, which means that simplification is very important.  I won't say that you can't change any of the guidelines that are currently in place, but if you choose to then you need to have a better reasoning than "I'm doing things my way."

Is it just don't be biased around one part of the deck ideas section(Mono-> Entropy for example), don't be elitist biased, and don't be biased on moderation of 1 user's decks, or what? I feel like if you want more emphasis you should explain exactly what you mean by it. As of now, that statement is rather general.

The Community-recommended Decks section is a collection of the community's most popular decks.  It is one of the Deck Helpers' responsibilities to ensure the decks in those threads reflect the community's most popular decks.  Managing the decks forums takes time, and requires the Deck Helpers be active.  But the CRD work requires they be active, have a familiarity with all decks submitted, and be fair and unbiased while choosing the submissions that will represent the community.  So specifically, the Deck Helpers can't put emphasis on decks they find more effective or decks they like more for any reason.

There's a sticky for these sorts of questions, guys.  It even has a handy Xeno tool.

It actually looks as if Xeno still hasn't updated the tool to include the fact that standalone mark cards are considered an in-element card.  In the case of your example, it'd be a duo.

Honestly, I don't have the skills to apply for the job, but I think I have a few pretty good ideas of how to reform the Decks section. For example, Duo decks are vast in numbers; making many different lists with each duo combiantion having its own topic is a must imo (a topic for  / duos, another one for  / duos etc.), though the work required for something like that would be overhelming. Same should go with trios & quartets, though it is not greatly needed. Also, in the deck help section, it would be nice if we had help in mono/duos/trios etc. as different topics. Just my 2 and I would like to help in some way if possible.

The above would probably be done most easily by moving them all into the general Duo Decks section while you are busy moving them all, then moving them one by one into the new deck sections. Although, that would be a TON of sections, so many, that it would end up in a cluttered look and would leave people with way more work, might even require 1-2 extra Deck Helpers just to navigate the sections, when normally you would have them all in 1 section.

tldr: imho, bad idea.
