So, is it just for karma, or do you plan on giving it future uses?

You guys are lucky i got neutral karma (0)
Not really lucky, you just have to be nice to people, or make intelligent feedback, etc.

On another note, this seems really cool. Now I just need to wait for some Karma.

Lol SG, did you really have to create a whole new account for this? :P
Yep, the notification PM has to be sent by a forum account.

Just Karma for now. Who knows about the future.

When karma is sent without a reason, does the notification still say something along the lines of "The reason of changing was: (blank)" ?

I just received a +karma, but there was nothing anywhere in the message about why it was given; I don't know if this is a bug, or if the user simply didn't write anything.  xD

You cannot give Karma without a reason. At least you shouldn't be able to.

The Oracle might have failed or something. Hopefully it's just and isolated incident and won't happen.

The reason for your Karma is: "For providing MORE card artwork to the game again. :D".

Mkay, that's what I thought.  I'll let you know if it happens again.  :)

Also, thanks for letting me know the reason.  I had a feeling it was something like that (the link to the thread was there), but it's always nice to know.  <3

Is there a way to totally drop out of the Karma-system?

The whole idea of Karma is to improve the quality of our community. It's kind of like this a law, and if you break it, you get to go to "social jail". It's a subtle way of making people act nicer which is always good.

I'm guessing you want to drop out from the Karma-system so that you have more freedom to say what you want without the risk of getting negative Karma for it. Unfortunately that's not going to happen. It's kind of walking to a courthouse in like in real life and asking the judge if it was possible that the laws of your country no longer apply to you.

...so... do these Karma notifications have a time stamp on them as well? *awkward shuffle*

I don't really like the Karma system either.
1. Its against my Religious Beliefs
2. It appears to me to be a Social measuring stick of who's popular and who's not, as people use it in a social rather than academic way.

How I get over this is, to thank or berate (not Flame) people publically. If what they are saying is good I say it so everyone can see. If someone says something I see as weak I point it out so they have to defend their action as being positive. I also refrain from marking anyone else's Karma in anyway.

With people using it for or against me, I let em. 1 spite here or there is just life, its the coward talking behind your back. Ignore it. If you get a massive abuse, like -5 karma in one day, have it checked. There is no rule to prevent someone abusing the system but SG can check to see if it is your faux pas or an aggression by a shamed fool.

But Kael (or anyone),
do you really care whether you're popular or not?
You shouldn't.
