Karma system 1.0

I installed Karma system so that we can test it out.

Give a + to members who did or said something you like

Give a – to members who did or said something you don't like

Total score will be saved in a database and is visible to everyone. You can find the buttons in post view under avatar.

"Karma stalking" another member (constantly giving negative Karma without a reason) is strictly forbidden and will result in a warning or a ban.

I installed a Karma log that logs every single push of the Karma button. It says who gave what Karma and to whom.

This log was installed to prevent a situation where one member "Karma stalks" another member, giving him multiple negative Karma each day without a reason.

Facts about Karma log:

- Karma log is only visible to me (admin)

- I will not share this information with anyone

- I will not even read the log unless something suspicious happens, like a member gets a lot of negative Karma without an apparent reason. In this situation I will check the log and see if there was foul play involved.

I would like a thank you system I have seen in another Forum. There is a button under the post and if you like the post or it realy helped you, you can thank the user.
There is also a Karma System. There is positive, negative and neutral Karma. But you also have to add a text to the Karma rating.
In this forum you can get "experience points" by good Karma and thanks. This will bring you up to the next member rank. The highest rank gives you a special bannar beyond the Name. Her we could use a special award for th person that recieves that high rank.

What's wrong with using math? That's a very easy calculation to make, especially considering most Elements players are highly intelligent.

Oh and about that advanced system.. there seems to be some kind of compatibility problems so I'm not going to install it in risk of breaking everything else. We'll just have to wait for the developer to release a fixed version. Meanwhile we'll go with this simple version.

nothing's wrong with using math... but i realy do not like math. Why i hated it? i did the worse at it in high school (i had a 87% avrege, otherwise 95 or better, to think all this with 30 min. studying a day). still is, coz i'm in the senior year. kinda. but mostly i am.

Hmm, any little tips, tricks, or help as to what to do if I can't add karma? Unless I drastically missed something on how to add karma, I cannot add it to anyone. All I see is: Karm: +(whatever the number is here/-(whatever the number is here). I cannot click on either the plus or the minus to make the person's stats change. I tried a hard refresh, to get any new information from the server that my computer might have crapped out on (i had to do that to be able to rate posts) but, alas, still nothing. Any idea? I would have taken this to the troubleshooting area, and I will if need be, but I figured it'd best to ask here first.

Yeah, for some reason it's crapping out on me too. I can see the karma thing, but can't add/subtract.

You can all test Karma and give me a [–] for failing at my job
