What use are shards though if you end up with not being allowed any upgrades. You'd end up kicking yourself if that happened.

If you end up without any upgrades, you can't use shards. Shards require sacrificing other upgrades, and that balances them.

I would want chalenge master but i need sometime to get electrum and good deck so I chalenge master after 2 months.

I am against the use of shards.  They are stronger than Life's heals and can be used by any deck.  Most of our PvP events do not allow them anyways (i thought there was already a conflict with shards in the Battle of the Masters event).

If it's going to be 50% on-element cards, shards should be allowed, they are "Other" cards, and if the rest of the deck isn't mono, then it does not show the element's skill, but leaves more skill to deckbuilding.

If you can't use upped cards in the prelims would shards even be useful?  I can understand using them in the duel with the masters, because then they can count as one of your upped cards.

New requirements for challengers are:

- 5,000+ score in Elements
- 50+ forums posts

Yeah, figured the requirement would drop when there weren't many participants. Held off on the grinding until I saw what I was aiming for.
