I don't know who to challenge was thinking darkness but I think bloodshadow could easily beat me.

Are the rules 15 cards from the element you're challenging and 15 from any other elements or
15 cards from the elements your challenging and 15 from one other element.

and can we have more than 30 cards?

Not really. I don't have upgraded cards in my Mono-Dark account.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

So the challengers get points by beating the other challengers (and in turn earn the right to be the only one to fight the master) how does the master earn points (to determine how many upgrades they can use)

SG, just wondering, how are you going to test the master's knowledge in his/her element?

I will explain that a bit later.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

But seriously, that's a good question.

Deckbuilding rules for this challenge are as follows:

TRIAL BATTLES (between challengers)
- any amount of cards
- no upgraded cards
- no shards
- at least half of the cards in your deck has to be from the element in question
(if you are challenging the Master of Fire, you need to have 50%+ of Fire cards, pillars included)
- any mark

FINAL BATTLE (between the top challenger and the Master, rules apply to both)
- any amount of cards
- amount of upgraded cards based on how many points you scored earlier
- no shards
- at least half of the cards in your deck has to be from the element in question
- any mark

The shard rule is still subject to change but it's going to be in the next Master vs. Master event so I thought it would make sense to have it in this one as well.

But actually since you cannot use them as unupped, having shards might not be a big deal after all. I'll have to think about it.

The no shards rule is being added (im guessing) because it doesnt show how good that element is.

Like for earth, DIamond shield + a couple SoGs means you are lasting ALOT longer, but its because of the SoGs combined with the shield, and this changes things.

On the other side, the competition is not about how good the element is, but about how good the master is, isn't it? Sure, a good element also helps, but being a good Master/player IS the main thing.
Also, shards are fair, if you allow all Masters to have them, IMO.
