icybraker and PuppyChow have been appointed Deck Helpers!

Both of them are well known veteran members of this community who have basically been doing this job even before they had the title.

Thanks for everyone who sent applications. I received a bunch of very good applications but too bad there was only 2 spots available.

Information about what Deck Helper does can be found here: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6920.msg81802#msg81802

I will talk to newly appointed Deck Helpers later about this Deck Archive project and how we are going to do it.

Actually, you can because a Master is technically not a "staff" position. Blood was a Wiki Editor and a Master of Darkness; Kami was an Event Organizer and a Master of Fire.
So what he's saying here is that a pattern is emerging that whoever gets two titles loses there master title in trials...interesting.

Surprised Yala didn't get it but still two very good picks.

Thanks, SG. I'll do my very best to make the decks of Elements the real pride and glory of our Forums.

Also, thanks for the light blue color, my fave. ;)

I will remember to tell the random newbie who PM me for deck help to F'off and ask who for advise from now on!

When I'm giving out titles, veteran members are almost always picked first. This is because they are more likely to stick around longer, and it's also a good way to reward their loyalty.

Also one thing that will guarantee a person won't get chosen is drama. It's like hiring people in real life. You pick the ones you think you can work with. If you get a feeling that the person might cause problems, you are not going to hire that person.

Veteran members...that already have other assignments in their portfolio?

I think the priority ought to be picking the ones the COMMUNITY can work with. In fact voting should be more relevant to this appointment than it is to say, picking a master of an element.

I'm sorry but I have to say while Yala's post in response is a little overdone, there is some truth in it *winces*  :(

(EDIT: If there is a need for me to demonstrate my impartiality, please do consider me out of the running for this job)

This reminds me of the Spoils System (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoils_system).

But I'm not saying that these two new Deck Helpers won't be able to do their job.

Congratulations  :D

Yea, like i will not stick around longer, the amount of help and diversity i bought into the community meant nothing to you, because you frankly hate me

I suppose you are the boss, you are totally right and you can be super bias the way you like

Not offensive, stating the truth, good day!
If you want a more detailed explanation on why you were not chosen, I'm more than happy to PM it to you.

Also instead of being a sore loser and posting these embarrassing posts, I suggest you be a man, congratulate those who got chosen, and move on. Ranting here only confirms what my drama radar picked up, telling me I made the right choice.

Im a veteran, technically. Ive been around since elements 1.12, back before half the cards and the new layout. Im just a nobody, and yaladilae is more helpful than me AND is better than me. This is soo screwed up. :|

Plus. Icy already has enough titles. So does Puppychow. That isnt fair, SG. You've crossed the line with this one.

:o ...wow I was really surprised that yala didnt get it...

I totally agree that icy is great with deck-helping in the forums and puppy is great at helping with decks in chat... however it appears that yala tests (or at least posts) the largest variety of different decks and is always looking for new ideas... personally i think that yala should at least be included in these deck-archive project however sadly i doubt she will in light of her recent anti-SG posts...

anyways, just my 2 cents....congrats to icy and puppy, well deserved, hopefully we can get the deck archive up and running soon!  :)
