"Forum Games" and spamming that goes on around there

Hey Scaredgirl, at another place where I moderate, the Fun, Games, and Tomfoolery board (Forum Games equivalent) is made so that no posts add to your post count.  Do you think that would help out here, or would even be possible due to the different forum setup?

Posts there don't count towards your overall post count.

my vote is for the rule rewrite, ban games that do as you said should not happen. even though i may have participated in a few of them, i was bored. that is not an excuse though, that is a reason.

What if in that 1 section, the topic would have to be approved before being posted? that way games not considered worthy will be removed before they even get there.

I think it is possibile to create a imer, so that every week or every month all threads will be deleted.
But I'don't know if it is possibile to keep some of the good games undeleted.

I hang out on the giantitp.com forums a lot, and they have two sections.  One is a 'silly message board game' section where anything goes.  The other is 'structured games' where threads need moderator approval to get posted.  The forum software has a universal minimum word count limit to all posts.  This seems to work for them.  Not sure if this will help us any, but thought you'd like to see how others do it.
