I think Azumi meant when the council votes on something, you'd want there to be an odd amount of members so you can't have a tie.

36ish* could work. Everyone has real life commitments, so with a larger group, you should be able to at least meet a quorum for every decision.

There's 12 masters for each of the elements I think you should check the forum faq

I think the 12-12-6 option would be best. It includes all the masters, most of the current staff (if not all) and 6 people elected in. I think that would be pretty fair.

I don't see why all 12 masters should be on board, the title is little more than an e-penis enhancement and doesn't speak for the person's ability to think things through outside of the game.

Just my 2 cents.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

That's easy to fix.

I'll vote if it's a tie.

The only thing I'm worried about here is that some decisions will take too long to make, so it is nice at times to have a single person making a choice.

In my opinion, there should be no voted members in the Council.  Rather, just leave it at all staff member and masters.  Really 24 folks is a lot of members deciding the direction of the forum.

This sounds like a good idea. Regardless of whether staff members make biased unconscious decisions or not, It will help the members know that the decision was good and not biased.

This is a great idea to get the collective community more involved and give SG more time to do more useful things.

As far as size, I don't think it matters that much.  As long as there are staff members on there that stay constant as masters and elected members shift the system should work pretty well.  Having a large council, also allows for decisions to be made if many members are on vacation or away.
