  • InsignificantWeeaboo wins the second competition in a row by designing the ultimate Mastery Gauntlet (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/competitions/deckbuilding-competition-the-mastery-gauntlet-(voting)/)! Keep up the good work!

  • Ever wanted to redesign the card format in EtG? Well, now you can. Draw your own design format (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/competitions/art-competition-definitely-a-card-design-competition/) and post it in exchange for a chance to win a competition!

  • Speedbuilders were tasked with a new challenge - only using 7 cards of 7 elements (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/pvp-tournaments/weekly-tournament-july-7th-7x7-speedbuilding-unupgraded/). Vindilos has taken away the jackpot

  • Multicolturalism (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/pvp-tournaments/weekly-tournament-july-14th-multicolturalism-upgraded/) tournament was a challenging one indeed, but TheonlyrealBeef managed to pull the victory to himself, congratulations!

  • Shoes are expensive to make, so be careful to not ask for too many. The Shoe Cobblers Dilemma (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/pvp-tournaments/weekly-tournament-july-22nd-the-shoe-cobblers-dilemma-unupgraded(/) limited players by the amount of legs their creatures had. TheonlyrealBeef plowed through this one as well, so he gets a pair of shiny new shoes as a well-earned prize!

  • There are leagues of creatures that are just unsatisfying to deal with. Goddamned Bats (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/pvp-tournaments/weekly-tournament-july-28th-goddamned-bats-unupgraded/) implores you to battle with those. Submachine has proven himself to handle bats better than the rest of the community by winning the tournament!

  • Leagues are slowly kicking into action! Time to tune in (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/pvp-league/) to see with LOs are up to this time!

Tea Time with Monox D. I-fly

Below is a portion of the interview:

If you were a master of an element, which element would you choose and why?
Water, of course. Because I always use Water element in any Collectible Card Games

What is your ultimate pet?
I don't have a pet, but to keep with the water theme, if I had any I would want an Axolotl.

Any particular story to why you love water so much?
Visually, because they...

what happened to the deck and card idea of the month  :'(

There aren't really worthwhile decks left to be discovered or they are very rare. Certainly not enough for one per month. How I think we've pretty much been doing it is innovative decks for pvp events that work around the restrictions well. Those of course can only happen during a pvp event and someone/team has to make an innovative deck.

People don't really make cards anymore it seems. I could be wrong. Even if people do still make a few cards each month one of them would have to be worthy of going in the newsletter. Brawl and card design competitions should be solutions to getting card ideas of the month when they are going on.

Deck of the month could be expanded outside of simply new effective decks to include creative decks so that deck ideas from Brawl and deck building competitions could give ideas.

But there are still a ton of creative decks and card ideas already created in the archives and other places. We can just pick up a few each month and we are ok. That is just my opinion though. ;)

what happened to the deck and card idea of the month  :'(

The idea got rejected due to the only practically active NLW not inowing a thing about deckbuilding and deckimprovement. It was also very tedious, having to describe absolute basics, such as pills and pends.

Card idea was scraped even before we took the post, so we didnt really think about bringing it back

We do see that people may want us to bring these back, but it would be good due to my brothers and my limited knowledge of what makes a good deck or a good card, which are essential to both of those sections.

I do wanna create some section that will be staple to our newsletters, cuz only thing so far that me and my brothers have done is delete a bunch of sections that were there before, which isnt good. However, coming up with something to do each month consistently is a pretty hard task, how our line of work doesnt end on just being the NLW.

I do wanna say thank you for everyones patience, it's greatly appreciated c:

Can we have an Avatar of the Month section? Users won't change much, but their avatars can.

For example, the current avatar of TribalTrouble intrigues me as someone who learned CNC engineering. It's an artificial shape, but looks kinda natural. Is it a diamond, a gem with unknown properties, or a shard? Is it inspired by Elements? Did he draw it and does it have a special meaning? So much can be explored here.

We just thought it was one of the shards from oEtG

Avatar of the month can be a thing :D

So each month they pick a "good" deck that hasn't been featured before (because a different one posted the same month was featured instead) and talk about it? Like Devtal for example.

You can always ask someone else to do DIOTM or CIOTM! Don't take all the work upon yourself ^^

Imo CiotM is still interesting.
DiotM should be a feature that comes up if someone uses a cool deck in a tourney event trials or war, and should be more of a match summary and why it won type thing

I'Ve done DiotM whenever asked. When I stopped being asked I figured someone else was doing it, not that it was being scrapped altogether.
