Announcement:
I have decided to blow up our server!
Just kidding.
The complete amateurs at the domain company still haven't fixed this domain problem. Instead of sitting here, waiting like an idiot, I decided to take action. I have already acquired a new domain for us. I will move all the community sites under that one domain.
The domain change process would be a very simple, but I decided to complicate things a bit by using this opportunity to upgrade our forum software (which I had originally planned to do a bit later). This means a couple of hours of forum downtime.
Summary:
1. We have a new domain
2. Forum software will be updated
2. We will experience a short forum downtime, during which I will install an upgraded version
3. We will start using the new domain and new forums (all the data will be there, and the forums will look 95% like they do now)
So apart from forum links changing, average user won't see that big of a difference.
Once again, sorry for the inconvenience. If it's any consolation, with the new domain, this same issue like this cannot happen because now I have a 100 times better line of communication with the domain people.
