Mafia Sign-Up List and Voting

Put me on the list. Message me when the game before my turn starts so I can be prepared. I'll likely use a variant of my classic format. Weed out some overpowered and underpowered abilities and see if there are any good ones used from other mafia games (game# 31 comes to mind).

Well the format I would use has probably been played on here more than any other. Balance and adding/removing secondary roles is all that's necessary, and that can be accomplished over the course of a few days since the format is already tried and true.

Something I'm really curious about: If someone's rules are continuously disliked, can they be pushed to the next poll over and over without ever getting into a game? - I think the answer to this should be yes, if it isn't the case already.

Root's original suggestion was that the next four players in the list are voted on, and if someone comes 4th twice (I think) they're pushed to the back of the entire queue

Generally speaking yes, but if the people on the sign-up list opt out for scheduling reasons or whatnot, I'll simply move on to whoever has an idea for the mafia theme.

This is part of Root's original suggestion, but I will not implement this until the next voting cycle.

In the future, let's have voting take place before the end of the current game so we don't have to sit in limbo like this. I don't know that you will get any more votes; do we want to wait until the 11th for the results?

I'll write up my rule set for the mafia I'd like to host, and if there is any space in the voting for it, I'll pitch it for the next vote.

The problem in this case is that the thing I don't feel fun in Espi's setup (the vanilla roles) is his setup's core, which cannot really be removed. :/ Ginyu's setup has more active roles, which encourages more involvement I think. I could see Espi's setup be balanced and fun, but I found Ginyu's setup more exciting for me, which is just my opinion, and that can be different from other people's. ^^"

The problem in this case is that the thing I don't feel fun in Espi's setup (the vanilla roles) is his setup's core, which cannot really be removed.

They could be removed quite easily; the vanilla aspect is only there to keep the complexity down with chanting.
If it's a lack of diverse power roles, I can add them, but it'd send the complexity through the roof. If that's not a problem with ya'll (and I'd be worried if it wasn't), I can add more than one power role, but I would need a good few weeks to make sure I don't break anything.
