I was inadvertently proving to myself that not keeping thought-process notes and such will result in failure in this event.  Lesson learned and future rounds I'll be tracking the way I started doing here after Guess 9!

Whew - an OK time for me to try out by-the-seat-of-my-pants methodology.  Noted: it does not work on things like Mastermind.
