Y'all are all wasting time trying to answer Icy's puzzle, but it's illegitmate.  The puzzle you're trying to solve is "Smoke Devourer", which is unfortunately ambiguous.  It could be Ash Eater or Graviton Fire Eater, depending on how the poster was thinking at the time.

The answer to Icy's, though, is Purple Nymph.

Either way, next puzzle:

First, get the number of quanta symbols that come before this first-and-last:
B _ _ _ _ _ k.

Double it, and find that many cards that all begin with the same word.   Put them in alphabetical order, and take the letters of the second words of the first and second entries, and do a first-and-last with them.  Then, do a first-and-last with the third and fifth entries on that list.

Those two answers form a card combination that creates a new card.  Upgraded, the first and last letters of the card's name are also the first and last letters of a 3-word upgraded card's name.

The first letter of the first word and the first letter of the last word of that card's name are also the first and last letters of this two-word unupgraded card's name.

The fourth-from-the-first word of that card's effect text and the fourth-from-the-last word of that card's effect text form the name of a card.

What is it?
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Let me rephrase:

This word only appears in once place in all of Elements:  B_ _ _ _ _ k.  Right before where it appears, there are a bunch of quanta symbols.

Double the number of quanta symbols you see there.  Then find that many cards that all begin with the same word (for example, "Elite" has like 14 cards that begin with it.), and arrange them alphabetically.

Take the letters of the second words of the first and second entries, and do a first-and-last with them.

Then, do a first-and-last with the first letters of the second words of the third and fifth entries on that list.

Those two answers form a card combination that creates a new card  (i.e. Reverse Time+Mummy creates Pharaoh, or Purple Dragon+Twin Universe creates Purple Dragon.)

The first and last letters of the upgraded version of the created card's name are also the first and last letters of a 3-word upgraded card's name.

The first letter of the second word and the first letter of the last word of that card's name are also the first and last letters of a two-word unupgraded card's name.

The fourth-from-the-first word of that card's effect text and the fourth-from-the-last word of that card's effect text form the name of a card.

What card is it?

Implosion, you are correct.  I was under the mistaken impression that Fire Nymph's ability was called 'Berserk'. My bad.  But yes, I was referring to the activation cost of the Fire Nymph in the first part of my puzzle. :)

If the word is in the upgraded form of a card, and the unupped, is that two counts, or one?

ex. Bonewall - Bonewall.

Dammit!  I missed a word in my puzzle -- the 8 cards with identical first words are all upgraded.  My bad.

Damn...I don't know what I was on when I posted that puzzle, but I screwed up epically.

The 8-item list was supposed to be for the word "Improved", but I somehow missed "Improved Antimatter" on my list, so I killed the first half of my puzzle.

So, let's pretend that it says "Start with a list of cards that begin with "Improved". Do a first-and-last with the second and third cards on that list, and then do a first-and-last with the fourth and sixth cards.  Those cards form a combination that creates another card."

And go from there. :)

Boneyard + IDK (too lazy) = Skeleton, upped = elite skeleton, E___N = elite phase dragon, P______D (Essence made a mistake) = phase shield, fourth word is phase fourth-last word is shield, phase shield score I DON'T CARE ANYMORE.

Puzzle coming soon, I want to make another multi-step (just because I feel like it)

OKAY-

Begin with the shortest card name in elements (there isn't a tie). Then take the only other card in the game who's name contains that word, and take the other word in that card's name. So if the shortest card name were universe (which it isn't) then the next word you'll need would be parallel.

This leaves you with some letters. There are three fake gods who's names contain all of these letters (ignore multiples in the letters). Take the two of these fake gods who are alphabetically later, and take the primary weapons that each of them use.

You should now have two cards, both of them are weapons and they are in different elements. For the one with the shorter element name (as in fire is shorter than gravity because it has fewer letters):

average the attack values of the upped and un-upped versions of the card, which should give you a whole number.

For the one with the longer element name: take the number of letters in the card's name,  which is the same upped and un-upped. This should give you another whole number.

Now add these two numbers together. There are several elements that have this many different cards (excluding cards only in trainer but including mark cards, rares and nymphs). Two of these elements are the same length (like earth and water are both five letters). Of these two elements, take the one that is alphabetically first and remove the first letter. Then take the one which is alphabetically second and remove the second letter. Add these letters together (the letters that you DIDN'T remove), and add those letters to oyrngcnvaar, and do an anagram to form a two-word card.

What is that card? bonus (not really) for intermediate answers :)

EDITS EDITS EDITS

I screwed up with the elements of the weapons of the fake gods. For the one with the SHORTER element name, take the number of letters. For the LONGER element name, average the damages.

Also, ignore the 5 newest fgs... they weren't on the list i was looking at :)

GRAVITON MERCENARY! HAHAHA! YES! Sooooooooooo much brain ache! But I won! Ima do something like that too :D

Score: Idk and IDC

This is how I got it

Shortest Card: Ash
Other card that has it: Ash Eater
3 FGS with eater: Obliterator, Incarnate, and Dark Matter
Incar: Vamp Dagger - Darkness
Oblit: Pulvey - Earth

Earth first so:
Pulvey is 10 letters
Vamp dag and stillet is averaged at 5 damage, totaling 15
4 elements with 15 cards: Air Fire Time and Light
Fire and Time are 4 letters. Fire first, taking off the 'F', Giving Ire+TME with time - second letter. So That and the other letters is IRETMEOYRNGCNVAAR
Rearrangement:
IRETMEOYRNGCNVAAR
Graviton (Scratched)
Mercenary (Underlined)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, not gunna be all that but here goes:
First take the 3 elements with the THIRD least ammount of cards from the trainer as of today, June 08, 2010. Find the one that is first alphabetically. Save it for later.
Then, get ready to use your Thesaurus Skills.
Find the words that are similar to the definitions I give below:
An innappropriate word for going pee in the bathroom. 4 letters.
The past tense version of the word that happens when there is no traction on the ground. 4 letters also. (You _____ on the ground when there IS no friction/traction. That is PRESENT tense.)
Then add (onin) in with the words you got from the definitions above + the word you got from the first elements puzzle. Then take that annogram to make the answer. Good luck!
[EDITS!]
You knew this was coming XD
The cards for the first puzzle only counts for the cards in the BAZAAR, not rares, unless they are in the Trainer's Bazaar.
