Alfred's killer entered the dark room through an existing hole in the floor, killed Alfred, then left the dark room.

After Alfred locked the room from the inside, he dropped his key into the pre-existing "hole" in the floor (it could be a vent) that was later retrieved by a different person. That person later unlocked the door, while their partner went inside to kill Alfred, and then lock the room with either master key.

An animal was in the hole and killed Alfred.

Alfred didn't accidently or intentionally drop his masterkey through a hole. Also, he would not drop his key without feeling intense shock, like a heartache, terror or a jumpscare.

After Alfred locked himself in the room, Lucy turned off the power for that area from the surveillance room. Alfred was surprised/scared when the power went out and accidentally dropped the masterkey, which fell and slid under the door. Lucy picked up the key, unlocked the door, killed Alfred, left the room, and locked the door again.

Alfred was confronted with 2 of his biggest fears and had his medical condition damaged in 2 different ways, resulting in him dropping the masterkey into a hole in the floor (like a vent or something), which led to the hallway, where Lucy picked it up, unlocked and opened the door, killed Alfred, then left and locked the door behind her.

It just means that there was no gap where the key could fit. Other than that, even if Alfred dropped his key in the dark room, it would have landed inside the same room.

After Alfred locked himself into the brightly lit room, the murderer dressed themselves as a witch and scared Alfred from outside the room via the window pane, causing Alfred to jump in shock and fall/lose his balance into the already-dug hole of the room. When he fell into the hole, he died due to trauma.

You were right that Lucy resembled a witch, so she could jumpscare Alfred, but we have that red truth that when Alfred died, his killer was in the same room as him.

After Alfred dropped the main masterkey, Lucy used a secret passage that is too small for a human to pass through to reach in and retrieve the key. She then unlocked the door, killed Alfred, left the dark room, and locked the door from the outside.
