To be clear, the witch called herself Lucy in the human world. In the witch's illusion, it was you who called her Bernkastel, because that's her name in the Witch world. But regardless:

The person who you later met as Lucy was the one who killed Eric.

The killer used the surveillance room key to the surveillance room to unlock the door, enter the room, and lock the door from the inside using the key. The culprit then killed Eric and threw the key on the floor. Lucy used the master key to unlock the door from the outside. The killer exited the room and Lucy OR the killer finally locked the door with Lucy's master key.

Lucy used the surveillance room key to the surveillance room to unlock the door, enter the room, and lock the door from the inside using the key. She then killed Eric and threw the key on the floor. Pablo (OR Elizabeth) used the master key to unlock the door from the outside. Lucy exited the room and both of them locked the door with the master key.

An illusion of two people is still technically one then?

Lucy, using the Surveillance room key, unlocked the door from the outside, entered the room, and then closed/locked the door using that key. After killing Eric for his voyeuristic tendencies, she dropped the Surveillance room key inside the room. Bernkastel unlocked the door from the outside using a Masterkey; Lucy left the room, and they locked the door on the outside using a masterkey.


SEPARATE:

Lucy and Bernkastel are two different people.

Lucy is supposed to be Bernkastel. If you assume that the mystery doesn't involve magic - which you should -, then you can assume that the name Bernkastel is only a fictional name that Lucy calls her "witch name". Just like the X-men use their "mutant names" (Cyclops, Shadowcat, Magneto, etc).
