This seems like a reasonable clarification:

In any case where a character mentioned in the story commits suicide, that character will qualify as both a victim and a culprit. After all, they both murdered a victim and were killed by a culprit.

What is the point of this in light of the previous red truth:

- No victim died as a result of suicide. I will extend this to accidents, heart attacks, or any other way of dying without the will of a separate killer.

change of plans probably. it would lead to too many incongruencies methinks between dead body counts and entity presence.

There have been a lot of "When people kill themselves, they are neither the victim nor the culprit so it checks out". So I clarified.

Prior to the arrival of the cousins and yourself, the culprit enterred each of the rooms prior to it being locked. The culprit installed a simple pendulum in each of the victim's bed. When the victim laid down on the bed, the knife would stab the victim in the vitals and kill them instantly. It was easy to make. The beds were airy and much like a balloon. All the culprit needed was some tubing (shaped like a inverted funnel probably) and something sharp, after which pressure would do the rest. The culprit, after setting up a trap in each of these rooms then emptied each toilet of its water. He poured some special preservation fluids into the toilet to fill it halfway or so, after making sure that anything that went down the toilet can be caught and taken out of some piping outside. The culprit then cut his index finger, his middle finger, and his ring finger and inserted one into each of the toilets alive. Some time later, you and the victims arrive at the building. Each victim goes to their respective rooms, locks the door, and locks the window. Each victim goes into the bathroom, and seeing an alive finger in it, flush the toilet to make it "go away". While the finger floats around the edges of the toilet as it flushes, each victim runs out of the bedrooms and jumps onto the bed. The resulting force of their dive into the bed causes the pendulum to push the knife into their body and each victim dies instantly, in the same exact way, all before the toilet finishes its flush cycle and the alive finger goes down the toilet. All three fingers are caught in a bucket outside of the house where the tubing was opened and the culprit leaves the property with all three of his detached fingers and the rest of his fingers.
after some deep soliloquizzing, this is what I came up with. i wish you luck in finding a counter to this... there are a few but it may contradict other truths, hehehe.~

This has been covered by several accounts, but this is the main one:

Quote
- Other than through a door or window, there exists no method through which it is possible for a human to enter any of the three guestrooms.
*There is also no such method to leave the rooms.
*This refers to the game in its entirety. At no point in time was such a method possible.
*This includes cases where a human partially enters or exits the guestroom. In other words, the only way for a human to be both inside and outside the guestroom simultaneously is at an open door or window.

If you're claiming that the fingers are somehow still alive, then it would count as someone being simultaneously inside and outside the guestroom.

So since the culprits are limited to You, the owner, your cousins and the witch and it would seem that the culprit cannot be you, the owner or one of your cousins, can we say that the witch is the culprit HOWEVER she didn't use magic to kill your cousins. I think this is in alignment with the game's rules but just for clarification.

The KNOWN characters are as you say. This doesn't mean that there isn't a culprit outside of this group. However, there may be a loophole considering the owner.

EvaRita, assert the following if you can afford to:
You, each of the three cousins, and the mansion owner are different people.
My 3 game-modification principles:
1. If it ain't broke, don't wreck it.
2. Simple fixes for simple problems.
3. Remember to fill in the holes.

So he just let some people onto his property without asking who they are or why they're there and didn't even get ready to answer the front door for them? Why even bother having a gate? Unless he has EXTREME short term memory loss, something of Dory's proportions, and conveniently forgot in the time it takes to walks down a driveway. And you wonder why your cousins got killed...

The front gate of the mansion has an electronic lock and an intercom system with no video.

So you drove up to the gate, rang up the owner at the intercom, who then answered and asked you who you were.

Once he confirmed your identity, he unlocked the gate electronically, and greeted you later at the front door.

What's so strange about that?

The fact that he established your identity at the gate, then made no efforts to move towards the front door until you actually knocked, then acted totally surprised to see you and had to ask you AGAIN for no reason.

I'll give you this little tidbit.

It is not the first time that your three cousins have visited the mansion.

It's reasonable to assume that the three of them were expected guests, no?

Since it's the first time you were visiting, the owner was surprised to see you, as you had never met before.
