Lucy easily entered Alicia's room, because it was open - even if Alicia opened it for Lucy. The door was then left open. When they were both inside the room, Lucy stabbed Alicia, then left the room through the open door and closed it. The door had an auto-shut mechanism, which means it locks itself upon closing.

Alicia was a medical student who had a cadaver with her in her luggage. When Lucy killed Alicia, she hid the body elsewhere, and left the cadaver in Alicia's room.  Thus, the body belonged to Alicia, but was not Alicia.

A correction then,
The dead body you found in Alicia's room was Alicia.

Very well then, itseems I don't have much choice:
The door and the window are the only ways a human can enter or exit Alicia's room.

In the early morning Howard was walking through the corridors and saw that Alicia's room was open, so he closed it with his masterkey. Only later did he unlock it again to find the dead body of Alicia.

Doesn't change anything. No one except Howard had the master key as long sa he was alive.

At night, Lucy killed Alicia. At the crack of dawn, Lucy obtained the master key from Howard's room. Lucy locked Alicia's room, and returned it to Howard's possession. When Alicia's door was opened, Howard was the one that unlocked it.
