I am intrigued of how you climb upwards with only a blanket or clothes, please elaborate on that.

Lucy killed Alicia during the night and opened the window. She then left, locking the door with Alicia's room key and went outside and threw the key back in the room through the open window. When Howard unlocked the door in the morning, Lucy went in first and locked the window while Howard and I were still standing outside in the hall talking

While I'm thinking about something viable, here is something silly:

A tamed animal killed Alicia which could fit through the keyhole or under the door. This animal could be a snake, a poisonous mosquito or even a vicious tick.

Alicia opened the door for lucy. Lucy killed alicia, then made a hole in the ground to fall on the room under, which happened to be her room, on the bed so lucy doesn't get hurt.

Lucy killed Alicia in some other room earlier. Her body has not been found yet. She then gave Alicia's key to another unnamed woman who locked herself in Alicia's room and commited suicide

Alicia was a medical student who had a cadaver with her in her luggage. When Lucy killed Alicia, she hid the body elsewhere, and left the cadaver in Alicia's room.  Thus, the body belonged to Alicia, but was not Alicia.
