Every year, there is a pilgrimage from Rokk, the capital city of the Earth domains to the Church of Novabow located in Anarchia. The pilgrimage was first organized in 12 AZ (Anno Zanzarinii), to thank the Almighty Lord for all that is fair and Graboid.
The path to Anarchia isn't an easy one, tho. There are two main roads, one goes through the Necropolis and the Lands of the Cloaked, which have been for a long time at war with Earth and each other. They have reached recently peace and signed an inconvinient three-way truce. The other road is not much better, travelling through the western end of the Desert and the Barren Lands, where criminals, thieves and refugees found their home. The pilgrims are not allowed to separate in different groups, and will thus have to decide the path to follow either before the start or during the pilgrimage. The latter tactic has been found more convenient, since out of the 8 times the path was chosen before the travel, 6 had been interrupted by an ambush.
The game developes in days. We will use the old WoE map:
this one.Every day will consist of moving from one hexagon to an adjacent one. A day will last up to two days. The pilgrims will be asked to vote on the path to follow each day, and there will be up to 4 options. The option that will be followed will be the one where the sum of reputation of people who have voted is the highest. You can gain reputation by choosing the "right" option every day, while you lose some by choosing the "wrong" one. Everybody starts with the same reputation (10). Whenever one's reputation runs to 0, the pilgrim is considered a simple follower, and will have no more decisional power (=Death). During the game, the reputation of one will not be revealed to anyone other than himself.
You, as the player, can win in three ways:
- Enlightenment: Your reputation is high enough to be higher than the sum of the reputation of the rest.
- Success: Your reputation is the highest when the pilgrimage reaches Anarchia.
- Survival: You're the only pilgrim left, as all the other pilgrims have died.
You can challenge another pilgrim's trustability. If you're the only one to challenge him, and his reputation is high enough (More than twice yours), you will be ostracized from the group (=Death). If at least three people challenge him, and your reputation is twice his, his reputation will drop. In any other case, the challenger's reputation will take a slight drop.
You may also find your death in troublesome areas whenever the group actually meets a dangerous situation. The pilgrims who lead the group to those areas will sacrifice themselves (starting from the ones with the highest reputation) to protect the rest of the pilgrims.
The players must not communicate to each other about the game in any way other than posting on this thread. They also must not reveal their reputation, ever.
