and both have passive skills that make their classes a bit riskier to use; trying to stick to either of those elements (in a raid that's mainly about defeating a fearsome Fire Dragon) is something that I wanted to award, under the conditions outlined in the Rewards section.

You cannot kill a player with Viciousness however; does that skill need rewording to state it otherwise?

Do we decide to increase or decrease a die roll with fortune after or before it's been rolled?

Only before it's rolled - the reason why it's called "Fortune" to begin with is because it's not about being lucky enough to get the right roll to increment/decrease, but rather having fortune telling abilities to make the decision to begin with. I'll try to make this more clear for Fortune's description.
