Ok maybe we will let him stay, we have to discuss it in the pad. If he starts messing with our actions, we will definitely evict him.

I have privately concurred already in MegaPad... but just to be transparent (I am wanting to cooperate here!) yes I concur with this ultimatum regarding my behavior within the MegaPad.

So my primary concern is simply that you guys may decide to turn on either the megas or wraiths at some point. So while it doesn't mean much, I think we should draft a non-aggression pact. Anyone that breaks it gets un-allied by all other teams and annihilated. If you guys can assure us that you won't turn on us, I'm all for the alliance.

Something like a cease-fire among the factions?  (Note: I really want to win but high up the priority list for me in this game is to make sure we get to uncover and experience as much of this Pipeworks game as possible. CleO is clever and I suspect has devised a game of good depth. Shame if we just go all shoot-each-other-in-the-face instead of exploring at least SOME before the shoot-y-shootey.)

By the way, you only lose 1 rod when you turn off the reactor, not 4.

While I've not checked it with the rest of my pad yet I am happy to "sign" a peace treaty, and I am sure they will be too. If we're being honest we're slightly nervous about the proximity of all the factions to one another now, and some unity among the factions cannot hurt.

Thank you for your generosity Dema, I had made the request assuming we lost 4 but you are quite correct we only lose 1, if in future you need any item just give us a shout out and we'll do our best to reciprocate!
We had some complications evicting ddevans initially and that made it clear who the other spy was in our group.

Engi's and Sani's, can you both confirm whether or not you'll be using your abilities this round? I've been told Action 1 from Engi's will be their group ability. Could we get an action 2 group ability on N15 from the Sani's?

I wish I could say that I'd gotten confirmation on this, but I've only heard back thus far from two faction members including myself. We're both in support of it.

Engineers used a very effecive Illuminate on G5.
Engineers deactivated the Main Reactor, and the radiation has begun to dissipate - but it was still able to spread.
Wraith donated Some Bricks to the Engineers.
Sanitation attempted a Group Action - Extractor Fans - but it failed.
Engineers and Wraiths are the first factions to make contact, quickly followed by Sanitation and Hunters.

Wraiths picked up a Blunt Drill on E6.
Engineers picked up a Lead-Lined Underwear on I12.
Engineers picked up an Expanding Foam on I14.
Megalomaniacs picked up a Some Less Bricks on T16.

ROUND 5

131.

There's a woman working for Sanitation who lives in unoccupied territory. Her name is Martha. Martha wakes up at 8AM. By 10AM, she's dressed and washed and she's eaten some of her rations, and she's out in the pipes to clean. Today, she'll be fixing lights.

At 12AM, Martha's still struggling with her first light. It's not been working for a good few days and she was given the task of fixing it. Martha's thinking to herself that the Engineers should be doing this. But noooo, the Engineers are lording around in their little office, drawing designs and building machine and other stuff that nobody gives one single damn about. And Martha has been told to do what an Engineer should do. She wishes the Megalomaniacs would get their work rotas in order.

Martha is a Sanitation Worker. Like her mother. Like her grandmother. Although Martha isn't pregnant yet (not for lack of trying, her body simply isn't ready), one day, her children will work in Sanitation too. Martha is proud to wave the green flag. But no Sanitation worker should have to fix lights.

By 16AM, Martha feels like she's broken the light even more than it was before, and decides to move on. Her footsteps echo on the concrete floor as she makes her way over the next light, the ceiling of the pipe vaulting high over hear head, far out of reach. It's lucky that the lights are on the walls - if a light on the ceiling broke, it might be broken forever.

It's almost halfway through the day, and Martha has achieved nothing. She opens the cover of the next light fixture and peers inside - a cut wire. Looks like this one was sabotaged. A bit of molten solder will bind the two bits of wire together - almost there - perfect. Martha closes the cover and the light immediately flares into life, almost blinding her even as she flinches away.

Martha covers her eyes with her arm. After a moment, she opens her eyes, glad to see that they have recovered, and looks around her.

Before, this pipe was swathed in darkness. Now that it's illuminated, it has a distinctly yellow tinge. It takes Martha a moment to realise what is happening. In a flash, she takes her radiation detector out of her pocket. This morning, it was a disc of pure white. Now, it's completely black. She's seen detectors with patches of black on them before, but never one as severe as this.

She knows there's no point going home. Martha looks up at the next light. She can't be bothered to fix it.

By 17AM, her skin is crawling.
By noon, her skin is burning.
By 1PM, she's starting to get blisters.
By 2PM, the blisters are in her lungs.
By 3PM, all the pain has gone away and she can finally relax.
By 4PM, she's dreaming of the surface world.

131.

That's how many denizens of the Pipeworks died this round. They were all killed by radiation.

Looks like Sani's have some group problems, I recommend you sort them out prompt-ish, those 131 people could have done with some extraction fans.

As should be clear by the huge red warning sign at the top, the reactor is now offline, and we Engi's happen to have picked up some lead-lined underwear. Shall we knock down one of the walls towards the reactor and try to find our way towards the consoles to try and fix them, we currently have enough items to do it, but would appreciate some replacements if we go ahead with this. We also would prefer to wait for Sanis to extract some of the radiation, if we were to make an advance towards the reactor it would likely be from the room at J15.

Wraiths, we understand that you need to expand just as much as we do, now that we are in close proximity we need to make decisions about how we're sharing out the available territory, I leave it up to you to make a proposal but we reserve the right to haggle. I think we should compare the territory we're expanding into before the end of each round just to ensure we have no conflicts.
