Spoiler for Lore:
Ah... water.

The cavern was much cooler than the top of the island; the sun was far more furious during the later hours, and the feel of fresh water cleansing his skin was a relief. Removing the brine and smell of sweat off his body was, of course, not as important as getting something clean to drink, but hey, no complaints. Finding the best spot to set temporary camp wasn't always possible.

It was... an odd place. Hilarious as it was to see that alien-looking being fall through a simple pitfall, the underground section of the island would have been frightening for those who weren't prepared for the wild. Claw marks were everywhere, and not necessarily of an animal origin either. Crystals lined the walls in eccentric formations, while others had specific rocks following a pattern that he couldn't piece together. He could smell different scents from each of the paths... saltwater from one direction, another was almost toxic, sulfuric in nature, and then another tunnel that faintly smelled of something sweet, like a mixture of oranges and wildflowers.

Taking one more breath, Vexthar placed his armor back on and ventured forth. One tunnel in particular had no smell, but had a clicking noise, fast and then slow... perhaps electricity? Step by step, he moved onward...

*click*

He froze. Looked down. The switch was on.

Several moments passed. Was this a mine? What did he press? What was going to happen? As questions began to pile on him, he faintly remembered the kind bookworm who he had met months earlier after an unusual meeting in an abandoned mansion. She seemed familiar... as if they had met before long ago. But that was irrelevant. He never got the chance to rendezvous with Patchouli on this island, and now, there was the possibility that all she would find was his remains (if at that).

...he took several steps forward in a panic, hoping that the explosion would knock him out... but there was none. It was just a switch.

"...Seriously?"

He shook his head, began walking forward, and three seconds later was knocked down by a boulder dropping on his neck.

...no complaints.

Tips and General Info:
-Demagog and 1011686 have entered the game as a Cultist and Veteran on Tiles G28 and F28 respectively as Team Yellow.
-If a player moves onto a Tree tile, then gets hit by an Explosive Potion, that player only takes damage from the initial Explosive Potion damaging effect, and not from the trap underneath (unless they remain in that spot).
-There are 14 relics (including safes) found underneath walls and tree tiles. They are all on the top floor only.
-All Tier 5 items are found either in a wall/tree, or on the bottom floor (many of which are also in walls). [If there are complaints about this, I may 'nudge' certain items into actual paths instead of in the walls.
-Keep track of your PMs! - you never know what information from the past (say, from a Crane or Safe) could help you avoid damage and/or retrieve relics easier.
-Remember also: Class actions cannot be repeated, minus a few exceptions (see Feather Shot, Marksman ability).

I'm super happy for both of our new recruits. Icronite for Vineroz is a pretty cool name and I think it suits him. Also happy that we finally have a Cultist. That role needed more love and now it finally got the attention it deserves.

Tips and General Info:
-There are 14 relics (including safes) found underneath walls and tree tiles. They are all on the top floor only.
-All Tier 5 items are found either in a wall/tree, or on the bottom floor (many of which are also in walls). [If there are complaints about this, I may 'nudge' certain items into actual paths instead of in the walls.
About the "top floor only" part, is that also true for hidden [X]Curse tiles? There are supposedly only 7 Curse tiles altogether, supposedly mixed under [#]Wall and [T]Tree tiles, but are they all hidden on the top floor?

For Tier 5 items, I'm okay with the original idea. No need for change from my part. I'd like a clarification though. What ways exist of retrieving treasure or triggering a Curse from below a tree or wall tile? Can Mesmers collect shiz from under them or do they need to destroy tiles too?
And we keep driving into the night
It's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye...

For Curse tiles, all X tiles are under Walls and Trees, but the majority of them are hidden on the BOTTOM floor (and... more specifically around certain areas). There's only a few hidden on the top floor. There are a few '^' and '@' traps also hidden within walls.

In order to gain access to -any- hidden item found within a tree or wall tile (whether it'd be a trap, relic, safe, tier 4/5 item, etc.) the wall or tree in question must be destroyed. Mesmers cannot collect anything in wall tiles despite moving through them (similar to how anyone can move through a tree tile, but you can't collect/get affected by what's underneath unless it's destroyed). Only in a few cases are the walls/trees destroyed upon using a switch (see, corner walls of the inner box relic). :)

As of right now, Trees can be removed by:
-Titan Treecutter (Item)
-Explosive Potion (Item)
-Berserker's class action (Explosion)
-Cinderaxe (Relic)
-Volcanic Laser (Relic)

Walls can be removed by:
-Landcrusher (Relic)
-Reckoning Cannon (Item)
-Blacksmith's class action (Landscape)

I may have forgotten to add a few other relics/items/class actions to the 'both' category (in that they destroy trees/walls when used), such as Orbit, Shrapnel Flower, and Spearman's "Trident Sweep".  :-X

Destroying any wall or tree automatically reveals the contents underneath it.

Spoiler for Lore:
{I do not understand your unnecessary repetition of the question.}

{Okay okay - my question, again [this guy is annoying]: how exactly did you become a 'Mesmer' anyway? [Huh, was that a footprint?] Like... do you guys... reproduce or something? [oh god that sounds nas- wait you can still hear my tho- damnit}

{My answer still remains correct: Mesmers are not born or created. We are all Mesmers. Everything is derived from a Mesmer. It is not mere belief. You simply choose not to understand that, especially as someone who still attempts as of now to fulfill their curiosity through the concrete laws of society, rather than the cardinal laws of the universe.}

Sithraak was trying not to show any amusement. Over the course of this mission, KSA Jesus, or 'Dubs', had many questions to ask. Ranging from flavors of ice cream, to a Mesmer's actual purpose, Sithraak enjoyed Dubs' silly questions and chatter. At the end of the quest however, the arrangement had to end, and consequences dealt for the debts that had to be paid. Confusing him, nonetheless, was free of charge.

{UGH! NO! That's not what I m- O-okay. Okay. Let me rephrase that.}

The sound of glass cracking echoed in their conversation. Sithraak froze.

{Stop.} Glass was no longer cracking, but shattered. Piece by piece, the sound of every fragment bouncing off each other and off of nearby wood and soil grew louder. Sithraak turned around. {I am being followed.}

{O- What? Wait [okay, okay, this doesn't make any sense, then again I am talking to someone simply by materializing words in my head while talking to myself out loud and thinking about their facial composition so oh crapdoingitagain]; what's going on? Hello? Sith?}

{Cease communication with me; do not think of me, pay attention to your surroundings. We are not alone.}

Sithraak moved forward and looked at his new relic; a small, lavender-shaded feather, approximately thirty centimeters in length floated deftly into his hand and into a containment kit. He looked back at one of his constructs and squinted, noting that an unsettled laugh followed the last bits of glass being cracked underneath a human's foot.

More new people. Things were getting aggressive.

Round 10
The round has ended. Please hold on for the following round to go up...

THE MAIN GRID:

Spoiler for Morte's Chest:
You step on a few branches and roots before nearly tripping on a notably huge branch... twisted and dead, lying in the middle of a clearing. Moving around it, you see an ominous circle of skulls, bones, and other cartilage fragments surrounding what appears to be a flat box. On top of the box lays a quill and a small ink vial. Moving closer, you try to ignore the awkwardness of the somber atmosphere and observe the items more closely.

The vial was glued to the surface, and, surprisingly enough, the ink (indigo, but slightly faded in hue) inside was not completely dry. The quill, soft in texture, was wrapped repeatedly by a black string in the middle of it, dividing its small feather hairs, and attached to the box with a piece of tar. Finally, the top of the box contained a carved message, with a long scratch mark at the very bottom:

"My home is not here, facing towards the heavens.
No. It is towards the void from that which I came.
If you could be so kind as to give me a choice
where I should go to end my journey,
I'll let you finish your own story with the same gift
that gave me so much joy in others' demise.

_ _ _''

Trying to open it with your bare hands sends a chill down your spine; looking around, you swore that the sharper bone-like objects weren't facing towards the box when you first spotted it. You look again at the flat box and see the quill again, the wind having gently pushed its position closer to the final line.

You get the feeling that if you make a mistake here, you might be in a world of pain...

[NOTE: You must send a PM to the host as your form of a key (i.e. - writing in the blank spots).]

Spoiler for Morte's solution:
Probably one of the more fun chest descriptions I came up with. :)

Unlike the majority of safes, this is one of the few safes that require the player to send in a PM in order to solve it, in contrast with the other safe relics that use switches, items, or in-game mechanics to solve. The poem describes Morte's longing to be buried back into the earth (a gravestone), and if the player can direct Morte's spirit, they'll be rewarded a the quill that can quite literally write death on the map (via traps).

The three spaces are coordinates for the map, and more specifically, require one of the 5 locations of the original/current 'V' tiles, as they're gateways towards underground (grave sites, in a sense). Once a player lands on this space, all they need to do is send a PM giving the tile coordinates of any grave sight, and the safe opens.

Known 'V' sites include: L21, P12. (NEW: Q13, U19)

Tips and General Info:
-1011686 has found a relic, and CleanOnion has opened/retrieved a Safe's relic!
-DoubleCapitals has turned from a Saber into a Blacksmith.
-If four specific switches are pressed throughout the game, an event will occur where a randomly-selected treasure or trap within a wall will be unveiled publicly [a wall tile will contain '#S' if there's a safe in it, for example]. At round 20, this will happen automatically.
-Whenever a Safe is opened, its riddle is publicly displayed.
-Cultists will -only- be notified if their passive is triggered via a status effect. Players should take note if and who was damaged by a Cultist.
