Do lore for Linkcat.
By the way, I have a question about Shrines. If someone changes their class to Blacksmith, do they get 4 new items every time they do that? And if you change class, will your pylons, minions, closed areas, traps, curse effects and other stuff disappear or will the new class carry them over? (Trap-planting teleporting cultist with a 5x5 safe zone and 2 minions ftw)
And speaking of Pylons (and other invisible stuff), how can they be destroyed if they are invisible? Do we get notified about them if we are close enough or do we need to attack empty map tiles? (or watch the map carefully and keep an eye out on any change in Energy for Mesmers?) Also, can Pylons be placed on chests, trees or any tile types other than Empty?
Good questions!
In order:
-In regards to Blacksmith changing... -
yes-, but on the first change only. If, for example, you change into Blacksmith, you get the items. However, if you change back to your original class and then again to Blacksmith, you won't get any additional items.
-Pylons* and Traps all stay. Closed walls will dissipate if you change from a Librarian class after using Field of Secrets. Minions also fade if you switch classes (i.e. - your pet/ghosts from Ranger/Cultists classes run away if you're not of the class). 'Curse effects' (or debuffs) from a class remain regardless, as those aren't external objects, but rather, statuses.
*For Pylons, just because they remain, doesn't mean you'll be able to teleport to them as a Cultist class or use them in any way.
-Pylons are invisible for a reason; they are to make it -very- difficult to remove for most classes. With the usage of items, relics, or other damaging effects (Crane for example), Pylons can be removed via various means due to their relatively low HP. Players should be diligent in monitoring EN changes for a Mesmer to see when a Pylon has been placed.
-Pylons can be placed on traps, inside walls, and practically anywhere except for 'O' tiles. There is no limit for that resource.
