An old turtle had finally completed its first trip around the island.

After taking a break sometime during the previous day, it was somewhat satisfied with its journey. It had seen bloodshed and explosions, alongside celebrations and arrivals, during a single day.

The sand was warmer than yesterday morning, and the waves were far more gentle than it had experienced before. It would depart soon, but a quick nap was in order...

What kind of sorcery...

You happen to find yourself on a raised cement platform that, when looking in all of the main cardinal directions, is essentially a massive calculator. You try your best not to laugh at the absurdity of such a thing found on a remote island; who or what would even build such a thing? This was certainly out of place, especially given the ancient historical markings and patterns spotted throughout the area.

In the middle of the circle, you see three things: a very thin yet obvious split in the ground, as if it was an opening to some sort of pipeline or hole, a small code in plain text with worn writing, and a huge journal attached by various bolts and screws to the ground with capitalized letters.

Basic math comes into play here.

The puzzle is basically a safe that swaps its calculation every 10 rounds (with a total of 5 different calculations for the duration of the game}. If you don't solve the calculation in time (or if players don't discover it), the calculation swaps out for an easier one [with the easiest calculation being one digit].

Using the 'code' as map towards the eight switches (where each number represents one of the switches, and the other letters representing actual character tiles), pressing a switch is essentially inputting the digit into the solution at the bottom. By 'GUARD RESET', using Guard resets/zeroes the solution to a blank space, so that if someone makes a mistake typing in the solution, they may choose to use the action 'Guard' while standing on the Safe to put all switches to the OFF position.

For the current calculation above, 84/12 = 7. 7 to the fourth power is 2401. And 2401 plus 60 equals 2461. Thus, the player needs to press the following switches in order on the grid (Tile T5, U6, S6, S5) without anyone else pressing any other switch (or resetting the Safe) in order to gain access to Dark Matter's relic.

...there is a hidden relic being referenced in the code for those who actually read this.

Tips and General Info:
-Sera has picked up a relic
-The Shrapnel Flower on Tile G37 has now bloomed and may be picked up.
-Players may send moves of future rounds in advance as necessary.
-The walls R7, R8, T8, and T9 have been destroyed due to a class action + Rage Powder buff. The RAGED status has not been removed as the owner with the status has still not dealt damage with a class action.
-Terraformer Seeds has now been changed so that it can only target a 3x3 area within 9 tiles of the caster, limiting the range it has on the overall game board.
-Lore is terrible. Get used to it.

We interviewed him briefly about his decision, but our questions were met only with tears. worldwideweb3 is clearly in mourning about his previous Crane, "lolusuck". We will interview him again at a later date when he removes the "No Journalists" signs from his home and stops throwing stones at us.

Local News Before the beloved lolusuck passed away owing to fatal wounds caused by a very mean person, it was employed in reconnaissance. lolusuck's last will and testament was given privately to worldwideweb3, who has decided to share the following information from it. Quoted directly from the will, "F7 and G9 are Trap tiles." However, one would be prudent to note that this information is slightly out of date. CleanOnion, a very wise and good person, has since used a relic called Reaper's Quill on both of those tiles, along with F8 and F9. As such, F8 and F9 are "^" traps, whereas F7 and G9 can be assumed to be either "@" traps or "X" traps. The former is likely, but there's no telling how far Kuroaitou's sadism extends.

Among the various explosions underground, crazed footsteps, and comm lines going off... the sound of soft, silk slippers gentle pressed against the powdered sand of the west bank. A day late, but hopefully not the least or last.

Mages, despite their recklessness, had an aura of control about them. Even the most eccentric ones still had a cunning, calculated plan about their lifestyle, and while most chose to dabble in their magic within laboratories, cemeteries, or even altars, a few occasionally spread their love in a battlefield. No arena appreciated a Mage more than the Mages themselves; it was a shame, however, that the majority of them were busy. Battle was a fool's pastime, and studying in isolation was of the highest respect any wizard could obtain.

-The 'trap' numbers are still being fixed - for those who don't know what this means, don't worry about it. [See column AD on the main grid for details]
-When "Wormhole Mortar" is triggered, the player who enters the 'within 4' boundary is not affected by the tile they immediately step into, but rather, only by the tile they teleport to. In other words, if you step on a trap within the 4 tile boundary of the wormhole target, you do not get affected by the trap, but instantly teleport to the new tile instead.
-A relic can go past its maximum cooldown with the use of other CD increasing relics (Locket).
-You do not suffer damage from teleporting into a trap against your own will. You always suffer teleportation/suffocation damage if you enter a wall tile without any relic/passive bonuses however.
