Hey, it's good to have overpowered relics. It shakes up the game.
Terraformer Seeds is an
item.
Well, I came up with 3 nerfing options that I would be okay with:
- Just change it to an 8-directional Reckoning Cannon and I'll be on my way.
- Target a 3x3 area, centered within 9 tiles from the caster. You can change Blanks, Traps, Fountains, Shrines and Oceans for any of the previously mentioned contents. You can only summon Lesser Curse tiles (not regular Curse tiles. marked by Y on the map) which deal 40 damage if stepped on. Can remove Walls and Trees in the area, but their revealed content cannot be terraformed.
- Mostly keep the effect as it is. The player who uses it must announce using it publicly at least 24 hours before the deadline. If announced too late, the item is not used. If announced in time, the item will be consumed by the end of the turn, even if it was not used. Can remove Walls and Trees in the targeted area, but their revealed content cannot be terraformed.
Questions:
- If 2 separate Terraforms overlap, but the users want to change the overlapping area to be different (during the same action), what happens?
- If an area is Terraformed which has an invisible object (Pylon, Crane, Wall of Secrets), what happens to said object?
A: If the 2 or more terraforms overlap, the overlapping tiles are randomized between both players.
A: Invisible objects do not disappear when a Terraformer occurs, even if you summon a trap underneath it.
Option 1 is redundant and not feasible.
Option 2, while useful, still does two things I don't agree with; the first is introducing a new tile type. My current boards and private calculations are processing enough as is, and having a 'Lesser Curse Trap' is silly. The second thing is that the Seeds
never removed walls/trees to begin with, so adding that effect makes it stronger than it already is. Giving it a range is possible though.
Option 3 is not allowed, as moves should be kept in PMs, not made public.
I may add a range of within 9 tiles for Terraformer Seeds, but that's it. There will be no further changes to that item if/once I implement that.
